This image was created using one speedlight and a bogen "magic arm" with superclamp. The speedlight was mounted on a "magic arm" behind subject in shower set at 1/64 power and zoomed to 105mm with a magenta gel. Using a magic arm, combined with a super clamp, gives one extreme flexibility when mounting a speedlight or even remote mounting a DSLR in situations where you normally woundn't be able to. I can tell that this is going to be a vital part of my commercial image making arsenal. Strobe fired via Canon wireless system.

I intended on this being the subject for this week's post for Macro Mondays, but the shots I took of just the label weren't doing it for me. This is my new favorite soda. Boy, is it tasty and so refreshing on a mid-90 degree day in Eastern Kansas. Only 4 natural ingredients and 70 calories. And the bottle design is super cool to boot. For this shot, I placed the cold bottle on the windowsill over my kitchen sink with the sinking sun from the west providing the backlighting. They have several others flavors that I want to try such as Juniper Berry, Ginger, Cucumber and Blood Orange. If you have tried any of these other flavors, let me know what you think and I'll let you know how they taste after I try them. Thanks.

Cucumber water is a good way to stay cool on a hot day. This is the first time I can call a day "hot" in many many months. A cause for celebration!
or it could be after the sprinkler, we are irrigating today, as the heat and humidity from down south is spreading our way too...
