Reflections, in my mind, look like these

…reflections on the dinner table. TL70 by MiNT

Saturday morning pre Christmas Shopping. Parking near the top level of the Grand Arcade meant some city views.

Reflections of the church of San Marco in Venice as the sea rises to cover the square at high tide.

Reflections taken in a puddle during a visit to Reddisher Woods, Ramsbottom. This was one of the first taken with my Sony F828 and where I purposely focussed on the reflection to get the blurring of the surrounding stones...makes a change doing this 'purposely'!!

Almost home now. The large windows and the water reflecting the morning light.

This shop window in the fashionable area of Montpellier in Cheltenham shows the reflections of the other shops in this courtyard setting.

Reflections off a van window of some interesting juxatposed building styles. This sums up Albuquerque architecture for me - no single distinctive unifying style, but rugged individual styles jumbled together side by side.

Reflecting on the Rally, Clarendon Classic Rally, 15th August 2012.

I don't really like rain, but the reflections make me happy.

A quiet place for contemplating life and the day...Explore

When looking at some of the reflection shots I had taken I began to wonder if Monet and the impressionists had developed their style after sitting lakeside and watching the world through reflections. Sometimes what we see in the mirror is better than what we see in real life.

My reflection times 10 on a hub cap.

I know I use this title a lot .....

Reflections on Lough Ree

Piccaninny Creek and Gorge taken at sunrise.

I thought the tree looked like they were aflame in this one.

These birds are so gorgeous!!! Happened to try again with doing the reflection bit with another bird. Did several tried with this one. Had to opt to use a flash. It was pretty dark in the wading bird aviary.

Flamingo Gardens, Davie, FL

"The Roseate Spoonbill (Platalea ajaja, sometimes separated in the monotypic genus Ajaja) is a wading bird of the ibis and spoonbill family Threskiornithidae. It is a mainly resident breeder in South America, the Caribbean, and the Gulf coast of the USA.

The Roseate Spoonbill nests in trees, often mangroves, laying 2 to 5 eggs. It is 80 cm tall, with a 120–130 cm wingspan. It is long-legged and long-necked and has a long, spatulate bill. Adults have a bare greenish head, white neck, breast and back, and are otherwise a deep pink. The bill is grey.

Sexes are similar, but immature birds have white, feathered heads and the pink of the plumage is paler. The bill is yellowish or pinkish. Unlike herons, spoonbills fly with their necks outstretched. In 2006, a banded bird 16 years old was discovered, making it the oldest known individual in the wild. [1] This bird easily mistaken for a flamingo by someone who has not seen it before.

This species feeds in shallow fresh or coastal waters on fish, crustaceans and shrimp and (maybe) other water creatures, swinging its bill from side to side as it steadily walks through the water, often in groups."
