On our recent Eastern Washington road trip, we visited the Grand Coulee Dam. This photograph was taken standing on the dam, with the reflection of the Columbia Gorge, Roosevelt Lake and part of the dam in the windows. The strangest thing about being allowed on the dam itself was the security. It was higher than in any airport I have ever been in, and we were followed around by security men with guns the entire time.
The Grand Coulee Dam is the largest concrete structure in the world and is bigger than the Hoover Dam. Strangely enough, I had never heard of it before.
It was a day full of Blue Sky, Rainbows, Cumulous Clouds, followed by grapple snow on the west end. A bit like Spring.

Another top morning out looking for kingfishers. I saw a male and a female this morning (maybe two females).
The water was uber still and quite a few birds kept on flying and landing allowing me to get some reflection shots. I probably shouldn't have rushed the processing on this and might re do it. I reckon it's one of my best shots yet though!
Reflection Canyon in Utah. A most beautiful reward at sunrise for one of the most strenuous physical activities I have ever done. It was a long hike in and the hot hike out...well, I survived! DSC01479D
Reflection of the Thalay Sagar peak on Kedartal (a glacial lake) situated at an altitude of 15580 ft in the Uttarakhand state of India. The place can be reached after two day's trek on some difficult terrains. But the view is worthy of all the effort.
