Reflection is the change in direction of a wavefront at an interface between two different media so that the wavefront returns into the medium from which it originated. Common examples include the reflection of light, sound and water waves. The law of reflection says that for smooth surfaces, the angle at which light is incident on the surface equals the angle at which it is reflected.

Bedroom Reflections.
(Linoleum Cut).
Awakening the next morning,
now all alone,
where did,
when did,
the nights previous lover go?
Catching a quick glimpse into the mirror,
seeing all,
both all around,
as well as inside,
questions to ponder,
the rest of the day,
perhaps even the rest of the life,
too many questions,
to try and answer now,
time to get dressed,
head out to the vast world,
perhaps a bagel,
washed down with juice,
time never stops,
as the mind continues to Roar!

The aim of every artist is to arrest motion, which is life, by artificial means and hold it fixed so that a hundred years later, when a stranger looks at it, it moves again since it is life. ~William Faulkner

From Omar Ali Saifuddein Mosque Reflections.
Amongst the emerald towers,
in the midst of the pines,
the sun warmed my body;
I prespired wines.
Billowing clouds, so far off in the distance
lingered in the blue.
Shades of aquamarine and cornflower
toned the overhead view.
Inhaling the pure mist
along with clean air,
I breathed in actual relief;
refreshment to my despair.
Across the meadows, far away,
were big globs of sepia rock
that stood tall and proud
homing many a hawk.
Under my toes were slender leaves,
creeping from beneath me;
shooting out in all directions;
tickling my knee.
In front me, was a pool of delight
with clear water flowing gently.
Ripples of jade and sapphire
dancing close to silently.
The mainstream was still tepid;
seeming so tranquil to me.
This was true perfection
staring back at me.
I then wondered
why I'd seen
an image of myself
within the gleam.
I figure God
was sending a sign
to let us know
that all mankind
will have their day;
All are special in some way,
so we must do the same for nature.
We must lend protection,
as it does for each of us
by casting our reflection.
Various reflection shots, need to view all 5 in the set to fully appreciate. Taken with my Nikon 35mm SLR film camera and tripod, hence no exposure stats
I love doing this, usually with the same reflection, catches my eye every time.

When I looked at the weather forecast and saw "River Flood Warning (Trinity River at Dallas)" I knew I had to stop by and check out the skyline reflections.
The skyline lights weren't all on yet, but I kinda like the way it looks without the green lights.
