Owned by Parker Towing & Storage of Arizona. This flat black gunmetal grey 1954 Ford C-500 Holmes wrecker is one of the coolest old school tow trucks that I have seen. This wrecker was sitting pretty in the middle of the 110 degree California desert a stones throw from the AZ border.

Steve recently finished his 600rr and is extremely excited about it...for good reason. The thing violently turns heads everywhere it goes and definitely got my attention as well.
He wanted solo shots of his 600rr but also a few group shots with my 929rr and Todd's gsxr 750 so we pulled them all out, pulled out the gear, and literally shot until the storm rolled in.
Strobist was 2 300w/s strobes, 1 silver reflective umbrella, and 1 bare.

Stopped by this orange container on the way home last night to test out my expodisc for custom white balance on my utterly filthy car in full on winter mode. I knew the lights here were horrible and all uneven and in the past I could never get the right white balance. I picked up the expodisc a few weeks ago and hadn't really given it a shot til now, so far I am impressed with the results. I'm seriously considering selling or trading in my car in the very near future, I'm looking for a B6 Audi A4 avant (that's wagon to you non-euro drivers).
Shot with my 50mm f/1.4 hand held wide open, ISO400, 1/20th
This mule was the most feminine and refined four legged animal I've ever seen. She was so dainty and precise as she pulled this carriage in the Mule Days Parade in Dayton, Washington.
At the fairgrounds there were mostly mules but some donkeys which made me curious as to what the differences are:
*Donkeys are purebred
*Mules are partbred or hybrid
*Mules come from the breeding of a female horse with a male donkey (jack)
*For the most part Mules are sterile.

Stopped by Stony Brook after work today to try to get a nice sunset shot (which I didn't). While I was there I checked out this neat little pond, while I turned back I figured why not take a photo of my car in its winter mode glory (or lack there of) since I haven't taken any of it in a long long time. This was taken at dusk, ISO1000, with my 85mm f/1.4 lens wideopen.

This Photo was taken in July 1985 while we were on vacation in North Wildwood New Jersey. It was taken with a Minolta Maxxim 5000 Camera with print film and is therefore very grainy. I scanned the Negative to create the Electronic Image presented here.
