Join Omaha Public Library the second Thursday of the month to read with fellow book lovers from all over Omaha for a silent reading party!
This month we are at the Omaha Dog Bar — no dog needed to attend! Please review the dog bar rules at www.omahadogbar.com/rules. Please note this venue is only for 18+.
In this nontraditional book club, there are no assigned readings — you just read what you bring! All readers are welcome — ebooks, audiobooks, textbooks, comic books... it's BYOBook. However, if you pop in or forget your book, OPL will provide some reading materials for the duration of the program.
Come settle in for an hour of silent, sustained reading. At the end of the time, attendees can socialize—or not!

Upon completion of this clandestine operation (well, it’s really a public challenge open to all adults), snag an elusive patch that reveals the intriguing secret to sharp-eyed operatives (your friends and neighbors) that the bearer is a shrewd connoisseur of mystery. My students at school were challenged to read and earn points using the Accelerated Reader program. If they earned it by Friday, February 15th then I would shave my hair into a Mohawk. For each week that the students had more than 1,000 points I would add on an extra day of the Mohawk - they earned a total of 3 extra days!
Everywhere that I go I have to take pictures (and upload to flickr). This is the District Technology Meeting that I chair.
