Summer enrichment for growing kids like myself. ;)
*Frustrated idea. I swear. The moment I get good at post processing and get more clothes and props. Gah. :)) Originally, in my head, the photo was supposed to have this glamorous girl sitting in an old elegant chair in the corner of our staircase reading books from a path. Of course, this is far from that, but, I swear. Haha.
This is sort of conceptual but I don't think the message might be clear 'cause it was a kind of spur of the moment thing. Haha. :)
He that loves a book will never want a faithful friend,
a wholesome counselor,
a cheerful companion,
an effectual comforter.
By study, by reading, by thinking,
one may innocently divert and pleasantly entertain himself,
as in all weathers, as in all fortunes.

Support the victims of the Typhoon Ondoy. Visit The Philippine National Red Cross
The Philippines was hit last Saturday by Tropical Storm “Ondoy” (international designation "Ketsana"). “Ondoy” has battered Luzon, leaving Metro Manila and 27 provinces in a state of calamity. About 34.1 centimeters of rain fell on Metro Manila in just six hours, close to the 39.2-centimeter average for the entire month of September. The previous record was 33.4 centimeters recorded during a 24-hour period in June 1967. PAGASA claims that the “unusual” amount of rain brought by Ondoy last Saturday could already be a manifestation of climate change
“Ondoy” drew comparison with hurricane “Katrina” which devastated the southern Unites States in New Orleans in August 2005 leaving about 80 percent of the city flooded, killing over 1,800 people and leaving damage estimated at more than $100 billion.
As of Sunday morning, the floods have subsided in many areas, but a number of areas, particularly in Marikina, Pasig, the Camanava area, and parts of Manila and Quezon City, are still under water. As of 11 a.m., the tropical storm has moved on to the South China Sea.
Sadly, two tropical depressions outside the Philippine area of responsibility are again threatening to enter the country this week and are likely to enter Philippine territory late Wednesday or Thursday.
I have no photos to share on the incident as we were also affected by the flooding so I'm leaving you the above photo taken in Manila Bay sometime ago.

Window card for this month's challenge.

I didn't get a chance to make a scene card for last month, so I combined my window with a scene!
The fact that they're making Roy from arrow could mean that they'll be making Arrow figs with the new Dimensions game or even arrow sets. I wouldn't be too mad about this because a third party customizer will surly pump out an exact copy in a few months. And hey, atleast it's not The Arrow right?
SPOILERS FOR ARROW
.

.
.
the fact that this is Roy and not The Arrow or Diggle or Speedy probably means this is a figure that didn't make it into the set or as a pack for dimensions because he was replaced by speedy.
what do you guys think?

The one where the bad guy doesn't rescue the princess, because she didn't need it.
She was whole, he just loved her ferociously for it, knowing she would come out of her tower when she was damn well ready.

I have just recently started this fascinating book called Crucible by Charles Emmerson. It is a history encompassing the time frame 1917 to 1924, from the ending of the First World War to the setting up by various forces in Europe for the much more dreaded sequel. Whilst I have read countless books on this time period, it is always interesting to read new interpretations and newly revealed information. I'm about 1/6 of the way through it but so far a recommended read, if you fancy early 20th century European history.

The world is a book, and those who do not travel read only a page. ~St. Augustine
Time to close and begin another chapter;
And as most chapters do, not without tears or regrets.
I wanted it all to be over, and now it is.
Yet I'm the solitary shadow standing in the darkness as everyone silently packs up their things and leave. Right now time is ticking away calmly, day fading into night, date changing so absurdly fast I frown as I look at the calendar.
Plane, after plane, after plane.
Rows of seats, endless numb tuning out. Looking down as ground free falls from under my feet and vanishes. Meeting strangers, countless of them, most forgettable, some lingering.
That sensation of not belonging to anywhere.
The feeling of coming home, and wondering idly what changed - and realizing that I did.
The emptiness when I remember what I could have been. Where I could be. What I chose to do instead. And if I did pick right, in the end.
Our choices make us. They don't define us, but they lead us to our next destination.
We will all be under the same sky, no matter where we are.
That thought is the only thing that is comforting; that one thing, in all entirety, will not change.
