March 2, 2015 was Dr. Seuss' birthday as well as Read Across America Day. United Way's young professionals network, Project NEXT, extended the festivities and celebrated with a networking event and book drive on Thursday, March 12 at the newly opened City Tap House at 2 Logan Square. Project NEXTers donated new and gently used books for elementary school students.

Ok well phoofighter guessed, I am making a "base" inspired by TMM. Before you start thinking that this is all that you will see, that's not the truth. I do plan on adding a lot of detail, and not just having baseplates and walls made out of 2x4 bricks.
Rock & Read: A Father's Day Fundraiser was held Sunday, June 19, 2016, in the Capital Brewery Bier Garten. Guests enjoyed live music by Sean Michael Dargan and Yid Vicious; autographs and photos with UW men's basketball coach Greg Gard and sophomore power forward Ethan Happ; signup for Madison Public Library's Summer Reading Clubs; kids' crafts from Monroe Street Arts Center; burgers hot off the grill; ice cream; Capital beer; and a raffle of fun prizes.
