Welcome Everyone!
The War Memorial of Korea, as our unique war history museum in Korea, is the sanctuary of national defense to feel the live history which we had been defended this country for five thousand years, and this is a place we learned lessons from war and to make a practical determination that we will never experience the tragedy of war again.
Also, The War Memorial of Korea is the live educational center of Korean contemporary history to have a correct understanding of vivid history which have been safeguarded the free democracy including the meaning of Korean War which was the most tragic war in history.
As you know, we had experienced a great number of wars throughout the history, but our ancestors destroyed invaders with the spirit of patriotism and defended this country. Sometime, we had experienced severe trials in the decline of national power though, but It is our pride to defend this country for 5000 years history and to protect the national self-esteem. It is our first duty we have to do to hand down from generation to generation four our tradition of national defense and pride.
The War Memorial of Korea, as the core to enhance warrior spirit defending this country, is lively exhibited the valuable historic relics comprised in the spirit of deceased patriots using the newest exhibition techniques.
Also, we are doing our best to renovate the contents of exhibition in quality meeting the changes of the times and to provide the best service for visitors.

Have been listening to young starlings calling in a nest in a house at the end of neighbours garden and watching adults shooting in and out but a couple of days ago noticed the adults going to the site and looking in and calling but not going in to feed and can no longer hear the young and they have not fledged. Sounded almost as though the adults were crying :-(
Could either the Magpies or Rooks / Crows got in to remove the young? Thought the space would be too small?
The Starlings continued to look the next day too, Very Sad :-(

This commemorative plate was commissioned by the Swampscott Historical Society for the 1976 bicentennial. I came across it on eBay, and purchased it for my wife, who is a proud Swampscott, MA native. There's apparently another Swampscott plate out there, but they seem to be a pretty rare find. the blurred text at bottom reads: Kettlesprings Kilns, Alliance, Ohio, 2572 5.
