Crusoe Reservoir last night, made sure I had plenty of insect repellent on and also carried some to up as needed to try and keep the mosquitoes away, totally worth fighting the mozzies!
Used a 10 stop ND to get this very long exposure.

Oops…wait…did I get the theme wrong?

My hair has been pink for probably 4 years, but I always love it when it’s just been redone. Good timing before Mardi Gras!
This is a re-edit of an earlier shot that I felt showed signs of being well and truly over edited. I'm much happier with this example although the sky in the original had more of a mysterious feel to it!

We're here are looking for vans today. I didn't get out and about to see one so for WAH I shot my sons airport van and then on my other album I asked AI to make me the A-Team van and it turned out OK.
Brodie came over and we had to recreate a photo by Émile-Dupont Savitry. We then cooked Mexican chicken/faux chicken. Great end of the day.

.Born
A man said the toughest moment in our life is one impossible to remember. It is our first breath, the forceful rush of air in our small, fragile bodies, the intensity of the moment we are (re)born, the unbearably unexpected "separation" from our "mother's body", the painful squeezing of our mortal little body out of the mother's flesh and blood. The moment we are (re)becoming ourselves.
We're Here - The 7th annual pikespice copycat day
Holy crap! This was hard!!! Pikespice's awesome photo is in the comments. :)
I don't know why I feel such an affinity for Ukraine, but I always have. Of course, in the current conflict it's easy to pick the victim over the bully. I just wish there was more that could be done without instigating a wider war. I can only hope that the pluckiness of the Ukrainian defenders and the pain of the economic sanctions will convince Putin to declare victory and withdraw.
Last week I was talking to my high school level students. In the 17 years they have been alive, we have experienced a major economic collapse that came close to a global depression, the largest earthquake ever recorded in Japan followed by a tsunami that killed thousands and a nuclear meltdown, a once-in-a-century global pandemic, and now the first invasion of a sovereign country in Europe since WWII. Talk about growing up in interesting times!
Well, it's red at least and quite warm. Hope you're all warm where you are. I have to say, it's a challenge keeping warm here with the heating off. It's ridiculous how expensive EVERYTHING is now, and I live in a country producing ALL and more of it's energy in renewables (Scotland). It's at times like this, sitting here without heating, wrapped in many layers that my desire for an independent Scotland grows. Everything done by the UK in the last 12 years has been an unmitigated disaster. Anyway, enjoy the legs, you'll probably not see them until the spring!
