The Kitahara tin toy museum in Kawaguchiko, also called "Happy Days", is built around the toy collection of Kitahara-san, an advertising illustrator who drew inspiration from his collection. It was one of the highlights of our stay in Kawaguchiko.

Raymond Mantilla (born June 22, 1934) is an American jazz drummer. He has played as a session musician and toured with some of the most significant jazz musicians of his time. Mantilla has been a bandleader of his own ensembles and was a founding member of the percussion ensemble M'Boom with Max Roach.

Today has not been a fun day. Found out before work that a very good friend of the family has to have surgery to have a tumour removed from his head. The doctors say that it is fairly big but are pretty confident that it isn't cancerous. Which is good news but it still is a worrying time. What's worse is that D and his family are half way round the world in Seattle. Thank goodness for Facebook to shorten the distance a little.

This is today's picture, the ray of light reminded me that there is hope of another day to come, that the light is always there.

So, if there are any spare vibes on the go, can you send them in the direction of Seattle please. That's where mine are heading tonight.
