The rate of technological extinction is rising. This device, the 30 pin Apple Docking cable has been the standard for iPods since 2003 has been replaced by an 8 pin Lightning connector in 2012. Prior to this, DVDs had been around since 1995, CDs were Widespread in 1982, Cassette Tapes commercially introduced in 1962. Therefore, the rate of technological change has been increasing at a dramatic rate throughout my lifetime. When I was born, only the very rich had the ability to choose only the music they wished to listen to in their vehicles, now anyone can take their entire musical libraries in their vehicles.
Mind boggling, isn't it?

I spotted these crazy pink headphones coming across the square just as I was putting my camera away and decided to grab one last shot!!!
I introduced myself to the girl motioning for her to remove her phones and I told her how cool I though the phones were, I was then inform they were beats (I'm still lost on this). I asked what she was listening to and she told me Drake, at first I figured Nick Drake but apparently not!! I have since googled Drake as promised and he is some kind of hip-hop guy that makes me feel real old!!!
Jazelle was super to photograph as she had these great big eyes, wonderful pink 'beats' and a cool blue medical neck tag that contrasted well colour wise. Jazelle is a student nurse and seemed like a real caring and easygoing person who was happy to give up her time :)

Setup for Ice God. View the actual Photo/
In this photo, a SB-800 on TTL mode trigged via a SC-28 TTL cable, modified with Rayflash provided the luminance for the 'ice-cold' ground surface. White balance 3250k.
On camera right was a SB-900 which was totally flattened by me at this point in time. It was used as the main light for the actual shot. 1/128 Power.

Sundays are usually our rest day. Didn't do much but grocery shopping and hang out around the house. I brought out my ring light and a fisheye lens to spruce things up from an otherwise mundane day.

Redpilot shoot of Leah (@antleah) of Giant Ant Media.
In this shot we were testing out the Ray Flash with the 580EX. It created a nice soft light on Leah and an awesome catchlight in her eyes. Just the Ray flash alone wasn’t enough to get the look we were after so Ryland held a flash (430EX) above and behind her head at a 45° angle.
All post processing done in PS.

This picture shows the comparison of direct flash vs using the Ray Flash Ring Light Adapter. Images taken straight out of camera no adjustments made. All camera settings were identical on each shot. Simple head-to-head comparison shows the potential of such a light-shaping tool.

We're just about finished developing our basement. Even though we currently have an office upstairs we decided to also plan for one downstairs because eventually the upstairs one will need transitioned to a nursery...eventually :) Considering we have some time before that needs to happen, my wife has decided that she'd like the majority of our small downstairs office to be a craft room. Actually, all of it if she had her way.
Anyway, long story short... our basement "office" is now 90% craft room. However, in the process I did managed to negotiate a small corner of the room with a cupboard and some drawers, as well as one of the hallway cupboards for my "manly" stuff. Here's a shot of the cupboard in the hallway :)
