I photographed my first wedding back on Nov 20th. I learned a lot, but to be honest I'm not super happy with the results.

Ever time I go to process I get a little disappointed... I wish it had gone better but hopefully the couple will be happy with the results. TIme will tell.

I'll post some photos from the wedding... eventually.

Here's the gear I brought. I'll tag it all later. Only thing not show that I brought was a second pelican case just to help lug the sand bags around.

Edit: Added notes. I should also clarify I did:

- prep photos with bride (50mm, 105mm, 24-70, rayflash, strobe w umbrella)

- Prep photos with groom (50mm, 24-70, flash w bounce card)

- tea ceremony (24-70, off camera strobe bare with on camera flash w bounce card)

- second prep for the bride - white dress (50mm, 24-70, strobe w umbrella)

- formals / family (24-70, fisheye, 12-24, strobes with umbrellas - wish I would have used the 50mm)

- ceremony (off camera studio strobes, one camera flashes w bounce cards, 24-70, 70-200)

- reception/dance (off camera studio strobes, one camera flash w bounce card, 24-70, 50mm)

Replaced a dead high beam on my car today. I knew it was blown but I didn't know just how much. this one has a zit. Cross processing applied in post.

Same theme as the last one (see below). However, the light is very different here. The first one was side lit with a diffused strobe (Canon 580 EXII). On this one I used a ring flash (ray flash) and as you can see, the result is quite different.

The rate of technological extinction is rising. This device, the 30 pin Apple Docking cable has been the standard for iPods since 2003 has been replaced by an 8 pin Lightning connector in 2012. Prior to this, DVDs had been around since 1995, CDs were Widespread in 1982, Cassette Tapes commercially introduced in 1962. Therefore, the rate of technological change has been increasing at a dramatic rate throughout my lifetime. When I was born, only the very rich had the ability to choose only the music they wished to listen to in their vehicles, now anyone can take their entire musical libraries in their vehicles.
