[Repost] - First black & white image had a noise issue. The original was a raw macro image of a deep pink rose observed while walking the beach concrete walkway/bikeway at Mission Beach, San Diego, CA back in May 2017. Converted to monochrome using a filter found in @carbonblackandwhitestudio, then reduced noise using Snapseed. I made a promise to come clean on how this image was produced.

It was just before dusk. I had been ambling amongst thoughts of 'Oh, you're the next' and 'heather smells so sweet in the sweltering heat', which of course, simply made me want to run to the snack bar again. "What the heck," I said, "you got no more jujubes?" He took it as an offense whilst I was merely sitting on the fence and pointing out a pertinent fact. O well, I mused, maybe come the twenty-fourth (it did, it went, I lost the coupon any way), or if the stars aligned in just the right kind of ‘allitootish’ (that’s French for dihedral, I believe)’ angle, the twenty-fifth - with expectation prizes and all-sorts - might be the day that the refrigerator would be restocked. I didn't hold my breathe... well, not long enough for The Thin Fins to cue up the amps and whatnot and bash out another tune about how momma treated them as a child. Castor Oil ain't so bad if you got chilblains.

This is the latest amaryllis in my home to begin to open. As you can see, it will be red, probably pure red, compared to the others I have shared with you.
