A study in polymer clay with a purple and a green CZ
Makes me think of an elephant's trunk
One piece of the artwork I did for the "Beware of the Vultures" skate deck series of New England's RAW skateboards.
This ring was quite the challenge... and still is! The copper plate is enameled in Thompsons transparent copper green enamel. The big quartz cab really reflects the color nicely. It also creates an interesting mirror-like reflection!
Here's why it's STILL a challenge: water gets under the stone, which isn't too bad, but it leaves watermarks :( I tried soaking it in rubbing alcohol, but that just seemed to make it worse. You can see the water in this picture. Any suggestions on how to keep the water scale off of the bottom of the stone would be greatly appreciated!!

Metal clay band, broken and cracked on the edges. The 7mm garnet cab is not sitting in the bezel so much as being held to the band by it. The copper "bezel" is riveted to the band.
My face looks completely clueless and it was really awkward taking this considering that my next door neighbors were watching while i did this. The only house that can see into my backyard is that house and i thought it was empty but obviously not haha.
I love black and white photos and it looked like my photostream needed some.
