This is little Lexi, she's only 1yrs old and 4 lbs. She was running so fast, she could fly. Running away from Sassy. Sigma 18-250
I'm really happy with this week's shot, and this has probably been my most "out there" shoot so far considering I'm so reserved when it comes to doing crazy things for photos.
It was really cold and rainy today but as soon as the rain stopped I went to shoot this. My feet got so so so cold and I was shaking the whole time and my feet were too pink...and even when I got inside and washed my feet and shoes that were so dirty and warmed up I was still feeling kinda mehhh and my legs felt very unstable. Maybe I'm being just lame but it was not very pleasant...
except it was so very satisfying. I'm so glad I finally got out a bit more and did something outside my usual sort of comfort zone. I always get really satisfied when I go out and do things I don't normally do. And I guess the title kinda relates to this. I really enjoy that idea of really being one with things, touching them, being raw. I was originally thinking to have my sandals on in this, but what the heck. It's so much different to really just be there and get wet; and as much as it hurt, it felt so good and real.
I am 8 rings behind the goal and only TODAY to make them all !!!
I was so busy with work and exhibitions and now SICK but I will make it !!!!
Paper clay, colored pencils, glass and copper wire.
Challenge of the TMQG. I took a "birds eye" view of the Wall Street area of Manhattan and raw edge appliqued the buildings.
Raw spot prawn! Wild BC spot prawns are in season so I like going down to False Creek Fisherman's Wharf and bringing a pound of fresh ones home. This is my favourite way to eat them, because the live shrimp meat is so sweet. This photo is from two years ago; posted here: shortcook.tumblr.com/post/633102274/raw-spot-prawns
Corn in the background!
This sea stack in Monument Cove is an often-missed wonder of nature at Acadia National Park. It is hidden from view on the Ocean Path, just south of Thunder Hole.
I'm not sure how the watermark got there. I haven't used that one in a long time.
Gathering on the top of the white.
The Netherlands is flat land with hardly any hills or not at all mountains. These few artificial hills in the parks of Utrecht are like Mecca last few weeks.
I might turn the whole tool around in order to do work close to the dropouts. It'll keep the arm closer to the seatstays, making it easier to hold in place.
As a college project, I was assigned a task to shoot an editorial portrait. I shot a friend at a location a week or so ago doing portraits and action shots however none came out how I expected/hoped.
I snapped a few other images for fun whilst on the shoot. This is one of the extra images, I just like the detail, and the raw, gritty, tough look of the bike and its surroundings.
