Please everyone- forgive all these error messages. I am having to have a little rant because I have been SO upset by no access for SO long . . .
This is for AT&T, - the big company that has strung us along with service, or lack of service, for the last 7 weeks. They have been starving us out with NO DSL service that we are paying for . . . Even had a call weeks ago saying that they knew it was on their side, but we also had hints that they did not mean to keep this old DSL line updated here on our little road in the country with few users . . . It has meant no internet, no weather, no email, no health care connectivity, no insurance updates, no email, NO TV! Ken & I have felt like we were on an island with no chance of rescue. You see, there is no other service down here- no cable, no fiber, no satellite that works for us.
Yes, I rebooted my computer, the modem, the router, bypassed the router, shut everything down- maybe 20 times a day, hoping for SOME glimmer of internet!! No, this one wasn't on me.
Suddenly? One of the helpdesk people told us there might be a new tower across the river from us! Has anyone offered that assistance? That answer is no. We have also been told that the service was not available to us! We have wasted hours on the phone trying to get help. Today, the installer came down and set up a wireless point-to-point and we are working- not optimally but a WHOLE lot better than the old DSL line! We asked the fellow who installed it- he said he did not have this service as his home, and he did not want to say anything about AT&T, as he was just an installer.
WOW! I guess that says something. Still, this is AT&T we are riding on . . . If we suddenly go out again- would somebody please call the authorities, whoever they are??!! LOL!

Sometimes people ask me where I find the things I make photos of. I just tell them you have to get out of the house and go somewhere you've never been. Everything new looks interesting the first time you've seen it. I'm pretty sure the 'trailer' in the video is an old railroad boxcar. On the right day, I'd probably kill a whole roll of film just walking around this area.

“Why do you think we’re here, Bobso? Are we the keepers of the books, or the reason why they’ll never touch the classics again? You know, when we got here I thought we were supposed to be scary to the nosey creepy uncle who thinks there’s a stash hidden somewhere. But I suspect it’s something much worse. I’m telling you, it’s going to get crowded in here soon. We were just the beginning. They’ll bunch so many toy giraffes and champagne flutes in this glass prison until the books get sucked into the wall. These smelly bundles of papers will outlast every person that now crawls on Earth, and they think they have time, ha! We’ll have front row seats for the centuries to come, us, forever, until our atoms will be harvested for more lucrative goals in this cosmic game of who’s who. But then again, they might dispose of us at the garage sale next week and we will never get the answer. Maybe we’ll get to keep some of the books.”

Finally, I managed to get there in time to see her take off..
Noise? oh yes, plenty of it and it's awesome to hear / feel.
What amazes me is that Doncaster Airport is viable. We hung around the couple of hours while XH558 returned and visited the viewing gallery (cheap parking!! Worth a visit. Windows need a clean for pics though.
Theres not much traffic through DSA, Why bother building the new road? they need more airlines in there for a start.
Anyway, Rant over.
