Greater Caucasus mountains Range as visible from Signagi City, Georgia

Was out trying to make a big lump of concrete look interesting last night!

The Alaskan Range as seen form Denali State Park. WOW!!! Some of the craziest, most dramatic peaks I have seen.....

We almost didn't sleep for two weeks working for a shot with only a little luck, so when the fog rolled in to this awesome area and the sky lit up it was a great feeling!!

I was lucky enough to go on the trip with past students turned friends Joe Roybal and Andrew Vernon

The Himalaya Range is a mountain range in Asia, separating the Indian subcontinent from the Tibetan Plateau. By extension, it is also the name of the massive mountain system which includes the Karakoram, the Hindu Kush, and a host of minor ranges extending from the Pamir Knot. The name is from Sanskrit himālaya, a tatpurusa compound meaning "the abode of snow" (from hima "snow", and ālaya "abode"; see also Himavat).

Together, the Himalayan mountain system is the planet's highest and home to the world's highest peaks: the Eight-thousanders, including Mount Everest and K2. To comprehend the enormous scale of this mountain range consider that Aconcagua, in the Andes, at 6,962 m, is the highest peak outside Asia, while the Himalayan system includes over 100 mountains exceeding 7,200 meters.

The Himalayan system, which includes outlying subranges, stretches across six countries: Bhutan, China, India, Nepal, Pakistan and Afghanistan. They are the source of three of the world's major river systems, the Indus, the Ganga-Brahmaputra, and the Yangtze. Approximately 1.3 billion people live in the drainage basin of the Himalayan rivers.

Tibet is a plateau region in Central Asia. With an average elevation of 4,900 metres (16,000 ft), it is the highest region on Earth and is commonly referred to as the "Roof of the World."

Geographically, UNESCO and Encyclopædia Britannica consider Tibet to be part of Central Asia, while some academic organizations consider it part of South Asia.

Tibet is located on the Tibetan Plateau, the world's highest region. The world's highest mountain, Mount Everest, is on Nepal's border with Tibet. The average altitude is about 3,000 m in the south and 4,500 m in the north.

Several major rivers have their source in the Tibetan. These includeYangtze, Yellow River, Indus River, Mekong, Brahmaputra River, Ganges, Salween and the Yarlung Tsangpo River. Tibet has numerous high-altitude lakes referred to in Tibetan as tso or co. These include Lake Manasarovar, Namtso, Pangong Tso, Yamdrok Lake, Siling Co, Lhamo La-tso, Lumajangdong Co, Lake Puma Yumco, Lake Paiku, Lake Rakshastal, Dagze Co and Dong Co.

Tessa couldn't care less about fish ... gold or any other colour. She's looking at me hoping I'll pick her up and hold her at the end of the session. Sole, on the other hand, yes he's found goldfish can be quite captivating.

The Range Rover was introduced to the public back in 1970.

Combining the comfort of a Rover Saloon Car with a Land Rover’s tenacity, the early Mid Size SUV came with spacious accommodation for driver and passengers.

The powertrain with a modified Buick 215 V8 engine, Rover’s groundbreaking gearbox and permanent four-wheel drive system on long-travel coil springs made the Range Rover well capable on an off road.

Musée du Louvre exhibited an early model as an „exemplary work of industrial design“. Early models had very basic interiors, Rover’s Saloon Car features like power-steering, carpeted floors, air conditioning, cloth seats and wooden interior trim were fitted in later during production.

Like the real car, the model features a Technic ladder frame chassis on coil spring suspension and rigid axles.

The build is Creator Expert sized, length 39 studs, 14 width, height about 17 studs.

*Mash'Allah

The sun is rising and the vast blue-black darkness of the night sky has been vanquished, and yet no direct sunlight has reached 11,049 foot tall Telescope Peak. The vast pinkish band of light in the sky known as the Belt of Venus is rapidly descending into the unseen horizon, bringing with it the warm alpenglow light that will in moments hit the tallest mountains before gradually descending to the low valleys. Here this yearâs rare flooding at Badwater in Death Valley National Park calmly reflects this formidable two mile high wall that is the Panamint Range of mountains to the west. Beneath the surface of the still, salty water, the polygonal outlines of once large salty ridges silently dissolve so they can be reborn once the waters recede.

Mt Ritter and Banner Peak dominate the skyline in the Ansel Adams Wilderness west of Mammoth Lakes, California. Viewpoint was on the descent from Iceberg Lake and Cecile Lake.

Quick reminder that I have a new ambience video of this area on the Geographic Artistry channel. The second half takes you up the stream to the waterfall, then continues above timberline up to the glaciers at the foot of the mountains. Then it turns right behind that granite knob to fields of alpine wildflowers and down to Nydiver Lakes. Here's the link to that part:
