For my latest entry in my "point macro lens at random household objects and hope something good happens" series, here's an old stick of MacBook RAM I came across during some spring cleaning. I've wanted to do some circuit board-type macro shots for a long time, but I don't really have much handy. Most of my old tech has either been recycled or is (more likely) collecting dust...yet still in one piece.
This is another stovetop studio shot: the RAM is lit by some kitchen light and the range hood light, and it was artfully propped up on some oven mitts.
I'm also hoping this might be a good idea for our photo club's "Lost & Forgotten" theme project - we often brush aside tech whenever the latest and greatest comes out, and that's exactly what happened with this particular piece.
Cast members perform during a rehearsal at the Vicenza Soldiers’ Theatre Sept. 24.
Soldiers’ Theatre opens Sept. 27 with “Random Laughter”, a production of short comedies where laughter is the prime ingredient.
The short comedies include: Oprah Made Me Do It; The Hard Cel; Check Please; Eve & Adam: The Untold Story; Forty to Life; Finger Food; 1-800 and Nice Tie.
“‘Random Laughter’ is the perfect chance to get away from it all and relax, enjoy and laugh at a hilarious collection of short adult comedies here at Soldiers’ Theatre,” said Jerry Brees, U.S. Army Garrison Vicenza Soldiers’ Theatre director.
Each short comedy explores a slice of life and includes stories that are as much fun for the actors as they are for the audience according to Brees.
“The extremely talented cast will keep the audience laughing for the entire performance,” he added.
Performances will be Fridays and Saturdays at 7:30 p.m., Sundays at 2 p.m.
Ticket Price is $12. Make reservations at 634-7281 or 0444-71-7281.

Random BGC Shots. - 1st time to "go out" and dine out as a family every since the pandemic started last year.
The random dance is a perennial favorite at MX. Kids are randomly paired with another student, and after an ice cream social and some board games, they dress "randomly" for the dance itself.
