There was heavy rain most of the day
Nice to see the Green Park shed code plate on the smoke box door
Looking out over the Firth of Clyde from Stevenston Beach at a bit of rain.. The little island is Ailsa Craig.
This is not a dramatic image, but I have tried to capture the atmosphere of today's continual misty 'rain'. Actually, more like being in a cloud all day than rain. i was quite pleased with this.
I love rain. Beyond that, I love thunderstorms. It's nature flexing its muscles and showing how powerful it can be. It helps me understand how small and insignificant I am.
Our world is a fragile thing. A living thing. We need to take care of it so it can take care of us. Rain is one of the things the world does for us. It keeps earth cool enough for us to live on it. It makes our crop grow.
If we are so lazy that we can't bother to walk a few meters more to put that piece of trash in the recycling bin, do we deserve the care our beloved earth gives us?
Do your part in preventing our seas from becoming full of plastic garbage by throwing your trash in the recycling bin. It takes you a few seconds to do that, but for earth to get rid of that tiny plastic wrapping it takes thousands of years.

A cold front is passing today and doing its best to keep hurricane Matthew at bay from Maryland. The far reaching rain bands are making their way across Maryland, but it is a gentle rain.
Captured here some of it collecting nicely on these plants.
I love watching the rain drain through the little vessels on our rain chain and I thought it was pretty cool with all the ice also.
A day of on/off rain surrounded by large convective cloud, this dropped a fair amount of rain over scunthorpe, the rain was just beginning to fall being illuminated by the sun to the west

It was worth getting up early to watch the rain race across Lake Michigan.
This is dedicated to all of you who capture these type of images so well and inspire the rest of us.
It was such a dreary, rainy day yesterday. I really wanted to bake cookies. But I resisted the temptation and ate blackberries in the sun room and watched the rain instead.
This the Tree Hydrangea in my yard. Most of the blooms were still on and we had a heavy rain, then a really cold spell. Everything out there became encased in ice. And out came the camera. :-)
This is the real color of the blooms! Even spent blooms are pretty on this tree. You can see my Tree Hydrangea album for more: www.flickr.com/photos/109694135@N05/albums/72157664242091826.
