This is Daniel, who I had the good fortune to meet today and spent some time getting to know and his friend Anthony (not pictured, the young boy was simply passing by and decided to join in with the fun.)
Daniel had predicted that it was going to rain, and seconds later we took cover from a sudden heavy downpour in a bus shelter as him and Anthony fussed our dogs and talked with us.
Two very good natured young men despite being slightly intoxicated.
Daniel is seen here performing his puddle dance which he said he hadn't done since the age of 6.
A great honour to see.

I've had this pic for a couple months but haven't posted it because I thought it was missing something. Maybe not though, so here it is! :D It's a valley near the Kentucky and Tennessee border.
With intermittent sunlight and rain this morning, I raced outside with coffee and camera and cardboard.
Belly shot with elbow tripod. Thanks for looking. I know a lot of you don't like bokeh balls. I do.
Stay safe. And have a good International Women's Day and decade, or two!
We've had some awful weather today, torrential rain, hail storms, thunder and lightning. I managed to miss the worst when I walked Tasku this morning but we both got soaked this evening. I took this while watching the storm in the afternoon.

If you ever pass through the Ozarks, you might notice the locals have a funny way of talkin', such as the storms this weekend were real gully-washers or toad-stranglers, enuf to make a body plumb peaked, dad gum it, and hankerin' for a smidge of sun. . .
Lynn had back surgery Friday, so we will be a little slow this week to catch up with everyone. . .
Fortunately we aren't flooding like most of the East coast Australia at the moment but we have had about 80-100 ml over the last 2 days.

I don't know why this branch always intrigues me. The way the light was at the time and the droplets of rain on the branch as it was raining (camera got completely soaked, its ok though) it had a calming vibe to it. It was also quite foggy at the time and I wasn't sure how I wanted to edit it. I knew that I wanted the photo to feel like a dark gloomy spring day, it was chilly but was mild so I felt like making the colors too cool would make it feel more like winter and wanted the earthy warm tones so this is what I came up with. You can almost feel the dampness.
