Don't look too closely, because there is camera shake in this photo..it was REALLY windy! I tried to correct some of the blurry edges in PS because I like the scene with the interesting sky and colors. Also I blended two photos, one exposed for that light patch in the sky so that one didn't have the camera shake. AND I cloned out the raindrops from the front of my lenses. So far from a "good" photo but I still like it. Hopefully you are only looking on your phone LOL
Edit from a photo I took long ago. I zoomed in on the avatars. One of they key thing I try to capture in photos are expressions. It is specially hard with avatars, but when it works, it really makes the photo take new dimensions.
After another heatwave, it finally rained again yesterday and everything is cool :) So in the morning, I grabbed my camera and raincoat and went to a conservation forest I enjoy. There were only a handful of other people there - I mostly had it to myself.
With all the heat we've had, many of the trees are losing their leaves already and turning brown.
Here, I used the same Pentacon vintage lens I used on yesterday's image. It has a fixed 2.8 aperture, so I could either focus on the branches in the foreground or the couple. I tried both and preferred this image.

Thunderstorm and rain were around towards the end of this hot and humid day in Baltimore ... and I saw a glint of warm light to the west as sunset approached.
Been a while since back from our trip to take some new photos and figured a good excuse to go see my dad and check out the sunset along Middle River.
It was warm, humid and wet. But the golden light was fighting its way into the scene as rain was still falling. You can see the drops of rain hitting the water at this shutter speed. Fun to get wet while shooting ... but that is normally when shooting waterfalls.
A pretty end to the day in Maryland.

As the heavens prepare for an imminent downpour, nature paints a breathtaking scene in the mountains of Tuscany.
Italy experiences a period of intense rainfall as dark clouds dominate the sky. The relentless downpour transforms the landscape, turning streets into temporary rivers and fields into saturated patches of earth. People navigate through the rain, seeking shelter and utilizing umbrellas and raincoats to stay dry. The heavy rainfall showcases the power and unpredictability of nature, reminding us of our vulnerability in the face of natural forces.

Sometimes the rain falls
just for you and me..
to be the violin playing
in the background
of our loneliness's song.

It rained - a lot. At least for Portland. It rained fairly hard all day, only letting up late in the day. I risked my camera to get some shots of these water-resistant birds continuing their activities.
The rain is raining all around,
It falls on field and tree;
It rains on the umbrellas here,
And on the ships at sea.

The Georgia Rain on the Jasper County clay
Couldn't wash away what I felt for you that day
Just you and me down an old dirt road
Nothin' in our way
Except for the Georgia Rain

Cropped a little on top because of too much blank space from my original photo.
