We removed the lawn as the lawn was in very poor condition.
The ground was covered with a landscaping fabric with slat on top.
We do have a local company that cam make up metal railings and gates for us but the ones used here were bought from a local DIY chain and are easy fixed into the ground with a post mix.

Some of the historic buildings in downtown Wellsburg have rather ornate designs. I really liked this one.
The malthouse chimney and tower of St Mary's church viewed at high water through the trees of Vire Island in Totnes and framed by the railings on Steamer Quay.
These railings are probably replicas of the ones that originally stood here, as the house they accompany was extremely dilapidated prior to its restoration in the 1990s. Bayshill Road, Cheltenham.
Certainly, the pun was intended, but I wonder how many persons passing the Hard Rock Cafe on the Riverwalk get it?

I think I was trying to take a photo of a traffic cone on one of the Sheldonian heads but I liked the railing better.

My bed doesn't have a railing like this, although the plans call for it. I bought the lumber for it and can install it if you like. I don't roll out of bed when I'm sleeping, but some people might feel more comfortable with it. In any case, if you buy the bed, I'll give you the extra wood, my drill and my electric sander.
