I helped the kids make these shirts in the classroom during my two-week intersession (while I played stay-at-home mom)!

Though not Christian, I have always enjoyed taking my camera to New York's Easter Parade to capture the costumes and excitement that make it unique.

Sadly, in 2020, like so many New Yorkers, I am self-sequestering at home, trying to stay safe and help slow or stop the spread of the COVID-19 virus, and even if I weren't, there was no Easter Parade to attend (for exactly the same reason).

As luck would have it, I never edited and posted my photos from the 2019 parade, so with ample time on my hands. here are some of my favorites from 2019. Hopefully, life and the parade can return to normal (or whatever you'd call it) in 2021.

Meowitz and Bez seem to be adjusting to Baby Harrison's arrival pretty well, though I think they're trying a little TOO hard for attention.

Casi made these adorable ears for a teddy bear they brought for the baby. They fit the cats perfectly.

A rabbit kit pauses for a moment, lifts it's head, and then continues to chew away on grass. I was amazed at how relaxed it was with me watching.

I'm not sure with otidea onotica, it can also be otidea leporina.

Description from MushroomExpert.com:

This cup fungus and its close relatives, members of the genus Otidea, are characteristically split down one side, resulting in a folded cup shape. Much is made in keys to Otidea of whether the cup shape is reminiscent of an erect rabbit ear, or is more truncated and cuplike--but this "character" is difficult to assess, and microscopic examination is often required to identify species.

Otidea onotica is supposed to be one of the "rabbit-ear species" rather than one of the "chopped-off, split goblet" species. More reliable characters include its brownish yellow colors, the rosy tinge on the inner surface, its clustered growth, and microscopic characters (see below).

The dummy was not diabolical enough to suit my tastes. Not by a long shot.

I believe he said "When I'm president, Good Friday will be Great Friday."

Had a great time at the Sydney Comic con and Cosplay festival at Olympic Park. Such elaborate costumes, makeup and great photo opportunity!

Oh, what indignities my poor dad had to endure.

Taken at Anime Ohio held at the Sharonville Convention Center in the Sharonville suburb of Cincinnati, Ohio.

I know absolutely nothing about who these Anime characters are and next to nothing about Anime itself so, I can't tell you who these two are portraying.

One small part of the Organ Mountain Range in southern New Mexico just outside of Las Cruces, these twin peaks are named after the bunny ears they resemble. This is the northern or back side of the mountains, that faces away from Las Cruces.

There's at least one walking, not climbing, but walking trail that goes from this side to the other side of the mountains. When I found that out, I made a mental goal to walk that trail one day. There are climbing routes throughout the mountain range that vary in degree of difficulty. I doubt I'll ever do any mountain climbing, but then ever is a long time and ya just never know what you're capable of until you try.

I'm fondly recalling the 90 degree days with low humidity that we had during this trip to Las Cruces last year. Warm memories to have in the midst of the bleak mid-winter.

Clyde has been gone for several years now but he lives on in our hearts. He was a great muse because he was so expressive and goofy...even if that's our interpretation of his expressions.

Once a friend who had a few too many drinks, decided to teach Clyde to walk. Clyde had other ideas and was...um...humping his leg instead.

This incident resonated in my mind and I imagined someone teaching Clyde to waltz and getting onto an old, early 1960s late-night talk show to debut Clyde's 'Talent" (a friend said it reminded him of the Steve Allen Show). In my scenario his trainer, Joe, with all seriousness leads Clyde out on stage and Begins the Beguine. Clyde turns to the audience with his big Pittie smile and commences Humping the Haunch instead. The audience erupts in laughter while Joe, lost in his moment, after all the years of practice, pushes on oblivious of what's really going on. Eventually the camera cuts away to the host who, barely composed from howling laughing, says "Let's have a word from our sponsor"

The room is meant to evoke the ultimate mid-century modern rec room, with the state of the art black and white TV.

And so once more the laborious task of shooting out chocolate from my bunny hole is comple...no...wait...let me read that back. Shooting...um... bunny hole...erm....chocolate...ah yes. I once more understand why people are always hesitant to nibble on my tasty little eggs when I describe the delivery process like that.

Maybe I shouldn't call it a "delivery process" either.

You are aware bunnies don't lay eggs? Even those magical and, as you can see, effervescent Easter Bunnies like myself. I am the epitome of joyful exuberance and leave colourfully shiny foil wrapper-filled footprints wherever I go. I should probably find a bin for those.

Well now that we have that cleared up. How about you...um...what are you eating? Mini chocolate balls. They taste a bit nutty you say. And you found them where? Oh yes, yes, you're right bunnies don't lay eggs but they do fire out...um...well let's go get you some mouthwash. A whole lot of mouthwash.

But still...have a Hoppy Easter.
