Many thanks to all those who view, fav or comment my pictures. It is much appreciated.

with the white rabbit

"Like peacock tails and a lot of other goofy feathers, quail crests (or plumes), which are actually made of six separate feathers, are apparently for impressing potential mates.

Jennifer Calkins and Nancy Burley caught a bunch of Gambel's Quail, one of the three species with a crest. They clipped the crest feathers off some of the quail and stuck them on others with superglue to make extra-long crests. Then they put a female quail in a cage with two males, one normal one, and one with a "crest extension," and timed how long the female spent hanging out with each male. Each time they repeated the experiment with a different female quail, she spent longer hanging out with the male with the crest extension than the normal one. Except in one case where the extra feathers fell off." My quail is a California Quail.

We call these Rabbit ear's, because they are so soft.

Even your own garden does not belong to you. Rabbits and blackbirds have the lawns; a tortoise-shell cat who never appears in daytime patrols the brick walls, and a golden-tailed pheasant glints his way through the iris spears.

I made him to look like a bunny made by Nancy Sholtey years ago. I wanted that bunny so badly.... but, couldn't afford him. So...I made one of my own.

He is small...only about 5 inches... and totally hand stitched from long, sparse mohair and some needle felting done around his muzzle and snout area on top of the actual shape of the nose .. to get it the shape that I really wanted. His eyelids are tiny bits of creamy velvet stitched into position to give him that certain 'look'. Embroidered nose and glass eyes... there is wire inside the ears to get them the desired shape.

Sometimes, it helps to have a second set of ears. The dinosaur is a bubble-making wand.

One from last year's Easter session that I never posted. It's the kindler, gentler version of this one. :)

Because surely, in all those years of their working together/friendship, Spock did this to McCoy at least once.

Also, this is complete crap. Nothing but renewed respect for snailbooty, Diastema, and Doctor Beef.

Can you find the rabbit ears?

There was so much snow that the walking was limited. I have posted several shots from a slightly higher elevation of the town - this one was taken standing knee high in snow just on the back edge of twilight.
