While on Friday, March 23rd 2007 at 1:29pm - R2D2 silently scans the florescent green cubical landscapes of my office for any intelligent life forms.
Edward and I were visiting the museum in September 2008 when we were accosted by this robot.
It was creating anticipation and excitement for the then upcoming Star Wars exhibition at the PHM.
Looks like it suceeded. We went online and bought our tickets for mid-December 2008. Great exhibition too!
It took this Christmas present until NYE to arrive from Japan, but it was worth it. I love both Starwars and cooking.

As much as I love lego, I've never ever created a lego model prior to today.
This Lego R2D2 is my very first attempt. Note the age range - "8+". I thought it should be fairly easy - it still took me over an hour to put it together as I was trying to work out how to read the diagrams ;)

Ele é um dróide astromecânico, responsável por manutenção e navegação de astronaves. Fala uma "linguagem" incompreensível, de bipes e ruídos (e inspirou Kenny, de South Park).
R2-D2 e C-3PO são os únicos personagens da série a aparecerem nos 6 filmes interpretados pelos mesmos atores. Kenny Baker foi o ator anão que atuou dentro do dróide em cinco dos seis filmes da série. Apesar de aparecer nos créditos do episódio III, ele nunca filmou qualquer cena do Revenge of the Sith. R2-D2 and C3PO are the only characters to appear in the series of 6 films interpreted by the same actors.
