I was really hoping she would take to ballet. She loves watching Jessie. She's been patiently waiting and has expressed a lot of interest in doing ballet, but she's just not ready. She gave it her best try when we took her last week, but then she walked out of the class 10 minutes in. Yesterday we took her to the class for the smaller kids and she refused. She's hanging up her ballet shoes...for now anyways.
I won't push it on her. I want her to do ballet because she loves it...and not because we want her to do it. But at least we introduced her to it, so if she changes her mind later, she'll at least know what to expect. Perhaps we'll see if she wants to give iceskating a try. :)

After a 4 hour round trip to Crawford's, Conway Scenic 252 and 255 put away their train into the yard in North Conway, NH. An old B&M Telephone reminds us we're in B&M territory on this part of the railroad, while the two GP38s are MEC vintage.
I went back to photo this rusted old tractor with the metal skeleton sculpture of a farmer which I had found one year ago and had posted. The light was better this time so I'm posting it again. It is located at the east end of French Hill rd. in the Cumberland sector of Ottawa. It is unique and quite eye catching, a piece of art in my humble opinion.

Sometimes you see a sign that really speaks to you. I like visiting large cities but cannot imagine living in one. The one time I tried, I wanted to quit the scene so badly. Of course this is misspelled for my definition but even so.... (It was probably equitable something or another)
El Panecillo es una elevación natural de 3.000 metros sobre el nivel del mar, enclavada en el corazón mismo de la ciudad de Quito (Ecuador). Es el sitio más visitado de la ciudad. Por su ubicación se ha convertido en el más importante mirador natural de la ciudad, desde el que se puede apreciar la disposición urbana de la capital ecuatoriana, desde su centro histórico y hacia los extremos norte y sur. El Panecillo está coronado por una escultura gigante de aluminio de la «Virgen de Quito», creada por el español AgustÃn de la Herrán Matorras, el cual se basó en la obra compuesta por Bernardo de Legarda, uno de los más importantes representantes de la Escuela quiteña.

Le pucará (village fortifié) de Quitor est un site pré-inca daté du xiie siècle. Il est situé à trois kilomètres au nord de la ville chilienne de San Pedro de Atacama, dans la province d'El Loa, une des trois provinces de la Región de Antofagasta.
Le pucará est établi sur les flancs d'une colline et constitue une forteresse dotée d'un mur défensif. Il ne se visite plus mais se regarde de la colline d'en face !

Seen on the streets (hold that thought) of Amsterdam, these 'Canta' micro-cars were developed ostensively as vehicles for the handicapped, but are seeing wider use. Speaking of 'wide', they're just 1.1 metres across, with seating and legroom that make the cheap seats on an airliner look luxurious. So why pay at minimum €15,000 for one? You can drive it not only on the street but on the bicycle paths, you can park it on the sidewalk, and you don't even need a license to operate it. With a top speed of only 45 KPH, you're not going to go very far very fast, but for cruising around the narrow roads of Amsterdam while staying warm and dry on a rainy day, this suddenly makes a lot of sense.
