Here are the settings I have in FCE in the color correction filter and how the clip is looking. See how it is the same as the other shot with the teal shirt and contrasty image, again, not what is showing once it is exported and viewed in QT Pro.
9/30/2010: Image and color profile P14 of H.264 mp4 source file prior to editing. The video image is a TIFF screen capture taken while playing the file in RealPlayer SP on a Vista-32 machine. The color charts are generated by Adobe Premiere Pro CS3.
The source video appears pale and washed out when played in RealPlayer SP compared to playback in Windows Media Player 12 (see previous slide P13). However, there is little noticeable difference between the mp4 source file and EE4 mp4 output file viewed in the same media player (see slide P5). Therefore, the loss of contrast is likely a result of player-specific codecs and color management.

There is little noticeable difference compared to the wmv, mp4, and source files viewed with Windows Media Player 12 on a Win7-64 machine (see previous slides P1 to P3).

Horribly cliched, but I really wanted to test the Interval Timer shooting function on the D300.

There is a tree frog that chirps incessantly from just outside of the bedroom window. We know he's just outside of the bedroom window because everytime we open the blinds he shuts up. And he sounds like a car alarm. I came out here to get away from the car alarm sound.
Armed with my camera and jen's camping head lamp (and with the aid of a full moon) i ventured outside to see what treats awaited me.
Good news is i found the little tree frog. No bigger than my baby toe, merely an inch from the window sill. Upon capturing this fellow, i went to the front of the house to release him (far away from the bedroom window).
Lots and lots of little lizards hanging out around the windows. Good thing we've got screens.

They had turned off the fountain a few days ago, so I was surprised to find it flowing again yesterday. I of course had to capture a few shots. The winds had picked up a little and it was tricky holding the camera steady for some quicktime clips.

I Took my Lady Dee to my sister's hair salon to get her hair done. One of the beauticians had these guys with her at work because they were just 4 days old and need to be fed every 3 hours. Ya just never know what you’ll see when you’re out and about.

Live video streaming of weekly meeting @ San Francisco, over Quicktime via VPN. It's been very helpful for guys like me who is working remotely to get "in touch" with them.
