Transcoding NTSC QuickTime Uncompressed 8-bit YUV to DV50. Should have made the Blackmagic Media Express capture it to DV50 in the first place instead of uncompressed... man those SD files are huge.
This Quicktime Movie shows the recent progress on our new building.
Oh, the good looking guy you see in the beginning for 2/10 th of a second is me!

A little quick driving timelapse I put together out of boredom haha. Too lazy to do any real editing, so this is right out of Quicktime.
I just locked the cable release and let it do its thing, so it was shot around 3 fps. When I compiled the photos in Quicktime, it was set to 30 fps.
Each shot was:
1.6 seconds
ISO 1600
18mm @ f/3.5

9/30/2010: Image and color profile P13 of a source H.264 mp4 file prior to editing. The video image is a TIFF screen capture taken while playing the file in Windows Media Player 12 on a Win7-64 machine. The color charts are generated by Adobe Premiere Pro CS3.
This is a copy of slide (P1) provided as a reference. The following slides show the same source video played in each of the different media players (see slides P14-P19).

I've had my D700 for several months but never tried out the timelapse functionality. This is just a test, it'll have to do for this evening because I spent most of the time working out the best way to get the 500+ images into a movie and back out into a useful format.
This a view out of the window overlooking the pub carpark. Primary focus is the rain on the window. The camera is reflected, as is the bookcase and door into the next room.

The view is from the camera mounted to my handlebars. The camera is Matt's with CHDK loaded on and the time-lapse script set to snap every 5 seconds. I put them all together using Quicktime Player.

Montrose Harbor. Although Chicago wasn't in Irene's path, we did see strong winds and waves along the shore. Lake Michigan is normally placid; the large waves we were seeing looked more like ocean waves.
