A short clip of passing clouds, taken over three hours using a Nikon D40, and stitched into a video using Quicktime Pro. I like the American flag that flickers into the scene from time to time.
Originally included on the CD “Infopedia 2” (Macintosh version) from SoftKey Multimedia, Inc. Converted from QuickTime file format to AVI, encoded with PNG, since ffmpeg doesn’t seem to copy the palette when copying the original (QuickTime Animation/RLE) palettized video data from the source file.

Here's a comparison I made between iMovie 7's "Share on Youtube" feature versus my ideal encoding setting using Quicktime. As you can see, the iMovie's Youtube video appears more washed-out while the Youtube-specific video encoding standard yields better image clarity.

Timelapse made of around 1000 pics using the time lapse function in the D300. The pictures were then edited in photoshop cs4 with batch processing to adjust levels. I then made the secuence with Quicktime. Sound and video editing were made with iMovie.
