What does he think of the new phone?
BTW, the video looks much clearer and crisper on the iphone, it does compress it quite a bit (or flickr does). I should download the quicktime video directly off the phone to see how it looks.

Locomotive Owners
For Details of railtours
My apologies for the grain - this was " experimental OOD stock " - there's plenty of nice clean & clinical digital pictures of exactly the same scene on Fotopic .
It does need rescanning as this is just a 2200 dpi low res - very small file Photo CD scan or to start from scratch with the colour Photo CD scan and greyscale convert in PS .
That 35 mm F2 Nikkor wipes the floor with MOST prosumer zooms though .

A video recording of the Macintosh emulator Basilisk II playing a QuickTime video from the 1992 CD “Apple Chronicles” from Apple Computer, Inc. This video uses the QuickTime Animation (RLE) codec, and it plays incorrectly in several non-Macintosh video players, such as VLC, MPlayer and mpv. The only place so far where it plays correctly is Google Drive, interestingly enough. The QuickTime file can be found here: drive.google.com/file/d/1bACbH_bJfrmwr_EmxRCLWXl8nuL7mZEz...

It's raining, so I just shot the TV screen to test the X-T1's Continuous High drive mode. Handheld, of course. :)
Quicktime conversion deteriorated the picture quality, though. Drat!

My umpteenth vist to NY and only my first time to walk across the Brooklyn Bridge. What a magnificent view of the architecture of the bridge and also Manhattan. In this clip, a section of the bridge undergoing renovation can be seen.

I used Final Cut Pro to render out and Quicktime to compress for web

37 second video of last night's storm. 1,112 separate images taken on a Canon A590IS every 20 seconds. Due to the lack of an AC adapter for the camera (one is now on order!) the batteries died at 2:20am and were replaced at 6:08am, missing a huge pile-up of snow.
Tech:
* Canon A590IS on tripod aiming out the window
* CHDK installed on the A590IS for the factory Canon 1.01B firmware
* Camera set to manual exposure mode
ISO=200, aperture=f/2.6, shutter speed=1/2 sec, f=6mm, WB=tungsten
* IS disabled on camera (since it is on a tripod)
* Set to widescreen image mode (3264 x 1832) at medium (fine) quality mode
* CHDK running an intervalometer LUA script set to record every 20 seconds with display off
* Set to manual focus, but not convinced it worked (display off = autofocus on that camera?)
* Quicktime Pro to assemble images into MOV at 29.97 fps, then exported to best quality AVI
* Windows Media Encoder to create WMV at 1280x720
Improvements for next time
* AC adapter
* Some way of adjusting exposure gradually in the CHDK script as lighting changes?
