Quicksilver lamp - I made from droplets of aluminum, with five high intensity LEDs as the light source. In daylight its all about the aluminum, at night its the walls.

Daimler-Benz Mercedes 300 SLS Porter

This is in fact a heavily modified Mercedes 300 SL, made in 1956 on behalf of and successfully raced by the American Chuck Porter. Porter used the remains of a crashed 300 SL "Gullwing" Coupé (W198 I) and raised the power from the SL's original 215 bhp by adding a McCulloch VS57 supercharger and a race cam to aprx. 300 bhp. The open body is fully made of aluminum (just as that of the works pure racebred 300 SLR) and weighs only 85 kg!
In the same year the Daimler Benz Works in Germany itself built two other cars called Mercedes 300 SLS for racing in the USA. These were based on the brandnew 300 SL Roadster (W198 II). (The "Gullwing" Coupé had been discontinued by then). The trace of both cars has been lost in history, but there are several replicas around, based on laterly modified road cars.

Though she claims her greatest passion is the thrill of flight provided by feats of weightlessness on the high wire and trapeze, our Acrobat is master of a wide range of gymnastic maneuvers. Extraordinarily flexible and quick on her feet, only our Contortionist can compete with Quicksilver's dazzling array of backbends, splits, and leg lifts, let alone her gazelle-like grace in executing backsprings, cartwheels, and flips.
Described by some as a true addict of adrenaline, Quicksilver seeks her thrills through any number of extreme activities from cliff diving to hang gliding, all of which she tackles with every last ounce of the considerable energy in her lithe body.
Perhaps inevitably, this explosive combination of physical skill and a lust for danger led our plucky little acrobat into collaboration with some rather shady characters. Without going into the details of the resulting bank heist, suffice it to say that the Pastime Athletic Club's offer of bail money in exchange for enlistment was seen as an attractive one indeed.
Freed from the constrictive environment of the local lockup, but with the dubious badge of a criminal record to enliven her history, the talented Quicksilver installed herself as Acrobat for the Red Suit Enthusiasts. As an organization, the Enthusiasts harnessed Quicksilver's pep and vigor in pursuit of their collective aims, which she consistently helps achieve with precision and finesse.
