She was one of at least FIVE women dressed as "X-Men: Days of Future Past" Quicksilver. I saw her. Katie saw someone else. I found a photo elsewhere on Flickr of THREE posing together, none of whom were the two that we'd seen!

Condensation on hotel bedroom window. I thought it looked like blobs of Mercury when viewed close up.
I made a mockup of an interface I'd like to see for Quicksilver. Would be great if someone could implment it :)

Finally the quicksilver starts to purr instead of howl.
Notorious for being noisy the PowerMac G4 Quicksilver is a tough beast to tame ... or shut up at least. I've more or less managed to bring it down to a sensible volume though.
1) Remove the finger guard on the rear PSU fan... A small pair of metal sheers worked for me. Be careful not to get metal filings inside the case though. Why there is a metal finger guard placed right underneath a plastic one (built into the rear case panel) is beyond me completely, This creates a high pitched howling noise as the air flows through them both.
2) Very slightly loosen the CPU heatsink Fans screws. There's a strange hum from this fan just loosening the two screws (in the vent on the back panel near the ports) VERY slightly seems to help. The change in tone makes the noise far less irritating.
3) Replace the main case fan. The stock 120mm brushless fans in these machines are of a very poor quality and are the loudest single component. Replacing with a nice generic Akasia fan has made a huge difference. Make sure to get one which shifts more than 74cfm (cubic feet per minute) of air though or you may start to get overheating problems.
I was almost tempted to put an LED fan inside but then was overcome with good taste and didn't bother. Not bad for a £2.55 fix though :0)
