o there are quite a few Lancers in the FGO universe, with a surprisingly high number of Figma representations of them. From a quick bit of digging, it seems that Scathach is a very popular character, and while I'm sure she has some very good stats, I'm guessing that's not the reason why she's got an impressive amount of Character Goods and Fan Art.
Originally released in 2018, I'd been tracking this figure on and off for the past few years, and prices have been kind of nuts. However, as with most of my purchases, right place right time, found a local seller that let his completely sealed one for $80 CAD, which of course was a great price so I went ahead and snagged it.
Like most Fate character, interesting background story on the character, including the ability to basically make as many Gae Bolg as she wants, provided she has access to the raw material, which is why she comes with two spears, though I'm not sure if she actually attacks with two of before she reaches her 3rd Ascension.
Her three face plates appear to do the job, though again I'm not familiar enough with the character to know if GSC missed anything.
Everyone loves the characters with the skin tight body suit designs , of which there are quite a few in the Fate universe. What really sets Scathach apart from the others is the predominately purple colour scheme, coupled with her striking eyes. Like all mysterious beauties, Scathach has long hair.
From an engineering perspective, there's nothing remarkable bout the figure. It's actually incredibly standard, a bit top heavy because of the long hair. There's no tricks to the articulation, so pretty standard Figma 2.0 set up, though I will give credit to the sculptors for making her coat tails or whatever they're called actually flared upward and outward so at least you can get some sort of leg movement in. That, combined with the fact that there's only impairment at the back, means you can get some decent dynamic poses in, though for most of them you will need the stand. Hair can be manipulated slightly to increase range of head motion, but at the same time because of the sculpted nature the hair never really flows naturally - you really do need a separate hair piece with like Medusa 2.0 if you want a more natural look in a variety of positions.
Of course, being a pre COVID figure, Paint and QC were of no concern, with all being as expected.

Not qualified for the strangers project, I never talked to this guy. I just thought he had a cool look, unfortunately I was with friends and didn't want to take off on them.
Quick raw panoramic (without any real focal point). Valley of Fire, Nevada. Done to illustrate just how vast that desert really is.
We love to carry little chocolate bars, for those times when we need a bit of a sugar kick out on the ski slopes!
Just planted this July. This was taken August 10, 2013. Blossoms start out white and are turning pink.

For this week's installment of my concentration, I focused on one of the largest sports currently played in America: football. This was a sport that was hiding in plain sight for me throughout this process, and I'm glad I finally got the chance to document this impressive athletic feat. My model, Noah Pittenger, and I met at the grass field adjacent to the Brophy football field to run some drills, and more importantly, take some photos. After warm ups and the arrival of our quarterback, Caleb Moore, we were ready to start. With my tripod and remote set up and my camera settings set and on burst mode, I had Noah run some quick slants and catch passes as I fired away shots. I finally had the desired batch after 5-6 trials and began editing. In editing, I layered and masked all of the photos together in Photoshop, and then in Lightroom was able to crop, adjust colors, and add whites and highlights to Noah to make him pop from the scene.
I believe this photo fits into my concentration by using a series of images layers together into one composite image to show the progression of an athletic action. Although this is an altered reality shown in the image, the action did actually occur. This photo uses colors, space, and perceived motion to create an altogether aesthetic image.

Kyleakin taking a quick break while enjoying play time with me in the garden, while on holiday in the Vale of Lune Cumbria.
While lying on the grass, camera in one hand, I had to wrestle the toy from her with my free hand and fling it over my head across the garden, before getting into position to take a photo as she charged back to me for another go. I'm not sure who was more exhausted afterwards.
Niederhorn is very popular with paragliders - hundreds of them and we enjoyed watching them launch of the slopes.
