So this is a quick build that I put together to test out some lighting techniques. I hope you all like it and feel free to leave constructive criticism! My next build should be done in a week or so if I have time so look forward to that.
Cheers, .NP.

"When I am wronged, may I be Quick to forgive and when I do wrong, may I be Quick to ask forgiveness"
...and speaking of Quick....this Heron is searching for his dinner and as He intently watches and waits, when that moment comes, it is amazing to watch how Quick he is to grab his food. I watched this gorgeous Heron Quickly grab and swallow 3 good sized fish in about 5 minutes of fishing! I love watching these birds fish, they are amazing and incredibly graceful!
I hope your week is off to a great start and if not....well you can always push that restart button and begin again! Enjoy & have a wonderful day my friends!
A female Anna's Humming bird makes a quick turn in front of our grapefruit tree. Some of the females, like this one, get a dab of color under the chin. Not as flashy as the magenta metallic head of the males, but still a nice ornamentation.
A quick break from birds....
Last week I uploaded an image taken from the opposite end of the bridge with the camera sitting on this railing. For this one, I used a tripod and captured the movement of people walking along the bridge.
In the background is the towering Crown Casino where the small time gamblers, young guns celebrating birthdays and high-rollers come to donate their money to the Packer family.
It is not easy to get a shot of Mak. It looks like he is sitting there enjoying the photoshoot but he was prancing to get going again. Im sure he was thinking hurry up and be quick.

Another cloudy day! Good to photograph my first Bald Eagle of the season, doing a perfect lift off from his perfect tree.
It appears as though someone stopped out on the road and then slogged through the snow to check on an old car in the deteriorating shed. Life habits of our parents often pursue us all our lives. My parents farmed on three locations and sometimes after a long day of work on one of them, my dad would irritate me when we were headed home toward supper and he would say, "let's just stop and take a quick check on the tractor in the other field we left for tomorrow." There weren't as many malevolent country folks back then to worry about but he had a protective sense of ownership and responsibility that he passed on to his children by his example.
How long does it take you to drive 30 miles? If you were with my wife and I you would probably not like it. We stop often when we see things like this. One subject usually leads to another. Do you see only the sunrise? If you look lower you will see an decrepit barn with an old vehicle forever parked by it. That sight means I need to drive up and take a closer look even though we are headed elsewhere.
Quick(ish) and set-up.
Hope everyone had a good Christmas and hope 2016 brings some good things to everyone.
Side Note : I've been quiet lately, as it was a fairly traumatic end to 2015 (being made redundant, finding/getting new job, then the Cumbrian floods hitting us). So I'm hoping 2016 things will settle down.
