Quicks Holes - Aerial photograph from a May 4, 2003 overflight of the area affected by the Bouchard Oil Spill in Buzzards Bay, Massachusetts.
Overall the show was kind of weak. The set seemed over really quickly, and Tony, Tyler and Jason's spins were way more crowd pleasing and more fun to dance to. I like Glass Candy, but that wasn't really the kind of beats I was looking for that night.
That, and I wasn't really in the mood for shooting them, but really wanted some photos anyhow. The show's lighting royally blew (no overhead lights flashing over the crowd or anything) which forced me to use my flash. Ugh. Overall, I am pretty disappointed with these shots but figured I'd post them anyways.
Have a listen, and see what they're all about if you don't already know. If they're in your area, check 'em out and cross your fingers they play for longer than a half hour!
The hand went up, but not fast enough. Most vendors will strike a pose. This one apparently is afraid someone might post the photo to the Internet. He had cool goods, but huge attitude.

After he said that, I whipped up this quick hat to go with the dress. It would've been better if I had piping instead of ribbon, but not bad for a <1hour project using materials I already had. And now I think I may have been bitten by the hat-making bug.
Actual finished video is too long for flickr so please view it here :

Shot at intervals of approx 9.5 seconds, from approx 9:30 - 5:30, using my picaxe-based intervalometer (photo), on a Pentax K100D with Pentax-M 28mm prime lens and Raynox X.66 HD wide-angle adapter.
2800+ images were shot, and recorded in-camera as 4MP JPGs. Imported into lightroom and batch-adjusted for exposure, fill light, and special effect (toning + vignette).
Exported as high-quality JPGs, 1024 pixels high (for some reason), and loaded into Quicktime 7 Pro, then exported as a high quality h.264 MP4 at about 8 or 10 FPS (can't remember).
Loaded into iMovie 09 and split up into individual 'scenes', then transitions and title added. Music overlaid and sound effects added. Exported as HD h.264 MP4 (330Mb) and uploaded to vimeo.
Day 181 of 365: "Quick Pic"
I was trying to take a picture of Katie's new "Tin Man" or "Spaceman" shoes (Seriously...they're silver...they just don't look right to me!), when she plopped herself down in my lap and said "Daddy, take a picture of us."
So...here it is.

"Quick, nobody's looking," the Helmeted Guinea Fowl seem to say to each other as they tip-toe across the lawn with picnickers at Kirstenbosch Gardens, Cape Town. These wild birds are actually fairly used to human company.
