I am feeling a tad better. now Hadley is sick. So I managed to make ham and asparagus quiche for lunch and had potato chips as my side dish. My best effort of comfort food at the moment.

I added some more salad things to the plate after I'd taken the photo 😀
This photograph comes to you by courtesy of the letter Q, my seventeenth picture for the February Alphabet Fun: 2025 group.
..at my house anyway.
Maddy wanted to do some baking so quiche was the easiest for her to tackle with some help from me. I was going to include this in my 100x but decided that food just couldn't be in mono...food is as much about tasting as it is seeing.
Thought everyone might need a break from my macros...I still have a few to upload...so some food it is.
Edit: That blue cast is really bugging me
Edit Edit: Fixed it by turning it into selective colour and re uploaded it

I went to a cheesecake event today at Temple Sholom (local reform synagogue).
I have eaten quiche, meringue, several hunks of Brie cheese, and SIX -- count 'em -- SIX different cheesecakes. We cast our ballots for the best tasting confection, and the lemon cheesecake won.
Once the cheesecakes were in sight, my taste buds took over, and I didn't even think of photographing any of them! They were lemon, chocolate/hazelnut, caramel/apple, blueberry, mango, and Smores! Sorry to not have any photographic evidence.
The event included some very funny standup comedy from a former psychiatric nurse, and a lot of chatting and socializing. A very welcoming group of ladies!
Using leftovers of everything, I made these mini quiches, that we ate for dinner last night, with a salad. Mini is always better! I will post the recipe soon, when I get to it!
A few weeks ago I visited St. Louis on an apartment hunt. While I was there I got the wonderful news that I passed my boards so I treated myself to dinner at a little French cafe I found in the Central West End. This broccoli quiche was delicious paired with a yummy greek salad and I enjoyed every bite! In fact...I may treat myself to a little quiche again tonight!
Happy bokeh Wednesday!
