Question : S'agit-il d'une scène de rue ou d'une sainte scène ?
...En tout cas, ce ne sera pas la dernière.

Since I need some winter images for a proper photo calendar i looked for something worth capturing during those days when we had at least a little bit of snow.
Actually the amount of snow we had wasn’t even enough to cover the grass on this hill, so I cloned out hundreds of grass blades, which was great fun.
Not.
If you are into counting, you are welcome to check my assertion based on the original image:

A photo from todays more subdued morning in contrary to blazing bright starts I have had of late. The heat has been too much for me with very little escape. It rarely gets this hot at home and if it did I have a cold house to retreat into. With its big rooms with high ceilings and very little direct sunlight its freezing in the winter easily fixed with donning extra layers and stays cool in the summer. Oscar hated the heat I would always look for cool tiles to lie on, where Toby would seek out hot spots as the sun found entrance through a window and covet that warm patch on the carpet. In the summer he would be forever in the garden room at the back of the house where he would lie until panting with the heat. I would be always telling him to move fearing heat exhaustion, he would move only to get a drink and would be straight back in his hot spot. I’m of course still missing my dogs dearly but I have conflicting feelings about getting another, partly in memory of Toby and Oscar and partly because we move around so much with the family being scattered and it’s easier to travel without worrying about the dogs wellbeing. The question is how long can I walk alone.
Why go to school if you won't listen to the educated? I thought that was an excellent question.
I continue to be disappointed that children in the Untied States remain relatively silent while children in Europe are fighting for our existence. That is one of those things that clearly shows how manipulated we are.
Fantastic Friday to you my friend.
So the real question on this monkey post is why?
I was going to use it for the Macro Monday Ceramic theme from a couple of weeks ago but it exceeded the size specification of 3 inches ( it measured out at 4.75 in. tall by 2 in. deep) and I didn't like it cropped. The monkey was pretty excited about being featured on flickr and you can only imagine his disappointment when he got wind that I used the Hummel instead. I didn't want to [...bear a monkey...] as the expression goes even if it was my fault the next morning after a good bit of drinking so I felt it best to show him off here.
Ceramic lid from a German 2l stein that I received from an uncle who brought it from Germany around 1900. It's manufactured by Matthias Grimscheid, Mold #1199. It's a big stein so the wording is most appropriate: “Trag deinen Affen mit Geduld, an dem bist du nur selber Schuld.” (Bear your monkey with patience, it is your own fault.)

Typically, when I post a photo, it’s my own work, and the only description is the lyrics of a song that sparked the idea in my mind. But this picture is different. This was taken by Ari Gunner, who, without hesitation or expectation, offered to help me with my first store simply because she wanted to see me succeed. That simple act of kindness perfectly sums up who Ari was—not just in that moment, but in every moment I was lucky enough to share with her.
She wasn’t just a friend; she was the closest thing I ever had to a mother, both in SL and RL. She was there for me in ways that no one else was, without question, without obligation—just pure, unwavering support. She took care of me when she didn’t have to, when the world felt heavy, and when I felt alone.
I will carry her kindness, her love, and her generosity with me for the rest of my life. She gave so much and asked for nothing in return. That is the kind of love that never fades, and I will never forget her.
Another view of the fallen tree seen in a previous post here in Bushy Park. This time there is a dog walker standing close by giving a sense of scale . This tree is another victim of the recent storms and this tree is one of around 40 that were blown over .
Almost a case off - The bigger they are - the harder they fall , and that eternal question is , Did it make a sound ??
I have to sell some photos at my church fall fair, and I have a question for which I would appreciate any and all feedback:
I'm going to print 5"x7" photos and put them in mats. the question is: For a church fair where I don't think people are going to be willing to spend lots of money, should I just have them machine printed and keep the price at $10 each, or should I get them printed at $7 each, and then charge $15 each?
what do you think???????
When you were growing up did you ever wonder how life looked in one of your friend's house?
With a quick thinking brood of eight, this is how the scene in our kitchen often looked when mom would utter the big question after our evening meal.

Just a silly question that appears to me when i looked at this picture, i mean the distance between me, my milk maker, and that mighty mountain. Basically, it's not that important, but when you have a lot of time and doing nothing, that silly question becomes more important than editing the image itself.
Anyhow, i've done a little bit of editing for this picture, increased the brightness, adding more texture, adjusted the colors, putting more blue on the sky, also making that grass looks greener by increasing their saturation.
Back on how far apart? From where i stand...i'm not gonna tell you, unless you think it's important too 😝.
This one is a lot different from the images I usually post-- and not as polished. Yet, for some reason I couldn't resist sharing it.

Huh, 30/52 was hard - spent several days in Moravia which was pretty exhausting (a lot of celebrating etc ;-)) and all of sudden I realized it was Sunday and I forgot about 52 weeks....Then my french fries were ready and idea appeared ;-)
And tomorrow work, gosh I want to be back in the USA - a carefree and fabulous time I had there ;-)
