A small wound on a Sweetgum tree drew several varieties of butterflies. This is a Question Mark butterfly (top) - Polygonia interrogationis and a Hackberry Emperor (bottom) - Asterocampa celtis working in the sap.

January has been a puzzling month for me: not sure why exactly. Was eating an orange this morning, but the acid wasn't settling well in my stomach. I left the orange peel and orange slices on the table and came back about 15 minutes later to discover a surprise.
Oh boy, I should have covered the orange slices because the orange was all dried up. And it was only 15 minutes!!! Well, it wasn't a very juicy orange to begin with, but that's far from the point :P … before I placed these orange pieces and the peel into the green bin, I picked up the peel and had a creative idea. Inspired from some pictures I've taken previously with my brother, I decided to do some orange peel art.
This is my orange peel question mark in b&w to highlight my mood for the month … being confused that is :S … perhaps the remainder of the month will shed more light on my confusion and clear up the cloudy outlook.
