First butterfly of the 'spring'. Didn't know what species it was & it turns out its common name is question mark!
The public interventions begin to examine Identity in the context of South Africa, and the place of a white artist within it. I have included a longer description of each below, but all together they look at the day-to-day actions that are included in the low-level perpetuation of race and identity within South Africa, including challenges on how we perform our own identities and how we expect others to perform theirs. They aim to challenge these systems on a daily, lived level, rather than a conceptualised or idealised 'artistic' project.

I kept an eye on the eggs, and finally, found one of the cats! This is the only one i've been able to find, so I'm wondering if something ate the others.
He's been happily eating away on the tender new elm leaves.

This is the fall/spring Question Mark butterfly, a member of the Commas. Note the white question mark on the hindwing of this ventral view. The sunlight is coaxing through the brilliant orange color of the dorsal side.

I looked for aaages :( It's gotta be somewhere so I'm gonna go look again tomorrow. I'm hoping some sort of break might help my finding ability. Apart from a replacement costing twenty quid it's also mega annoying for filming too :(
