Enjoying the nectar from the lantana in my backyard; the host plant for this species are various, from elms to hackberries, both numerous in my area.
Disfrutando del néctar de lantana en mi patio trasero; las plantas anfitrionas para esta especie son varias, desde olmos a almeces. Las dos especies son numerosas en mi área.
Continuing to play around with letterpress and finding the funky wooden stuff.

Hairy Moles -
Sensing disturbance on the leaves, she woke up from her dream and straightened immediately. I continue to feast my eyes on the orange sleepy head; fine hairs were branching from each mole, the whiskered berries make me smile. Only a caterpillar can carry hairy moles perfectly, no one else can.
I was trying and trying to get a shot of this one, when it landed in a prime location - on my pants! This is a fresh individual of the fall brood, with more reddish coloration underneath.

Given all the question marks, I'm kind of puzzled as to what this sign is for. "Have you lost a guitar?" "Have you found a lost guitar?" "Will a guitar somehow feature in the plot of the upcoming season of Lost?"

I honestly had no idea what to take today. It was actually the first of my night classes tonight and by the time I got home I had very little time to come up with something. thought that this summed it up!
A wee note to self...when trying to take a "quick" photo, don't attempt to draw a question mark with a LED light.....it took me bloody ages!
Photographed, January 2004. I loved this piece, it hung at face height but it had no sharp edges and you were unlikely to bump into it. It used an extra heavy steel cable, bolted on with conical tamper-resistant bolts. It persisted on East Second Street for years. Shot with my first digital camera, the crappy Visioneer.
