Questi due scatti non dovevano essere pubblicati,nascono come corrispondenza privata tra Dafne ed Aidan quando ancora non erano una coppia…(mi sembra ieri ed invece è già passato un sacco di tempo…^_^),ma nel sistemare alcune cartelle li abbiamo ritrovati e mesi or sono li ho spediti ad una certa tesorina per mostrarle il “potenziale” di Lukas LM….che pure con le luci sfalsate ed in foto fatte al volo ha quel non so che di..gnoccaggine!!!XD La signorina in questione mi ha invitata a pubblicarle…così le ho proposto un patto..lei ha tenuto fede alla sua parte..io con SOMMO ritardo adempio alla mia!!!^_^ Spero che mi perdonerà!!! :****

I overdosed on green last weekend. Everything was incredibly lush in Kyoto. As you can tell, the flooring was moss. A sign said that there were about ten kinds of "very important moss" at this site.
The photo was taken at Ginkaku-ji Temple aka the Silver Pavilion. It was never actually covered with silver but you can see the wooden structure (and the Zen Buddhist garden) here.
The Golden Pavilion however really was covered in gold leaf. Wow.
Questo splendido animale si muoveva con grazia tra a circa una decina di metri dalla battigia.
Come un sistema solare si muoveva nello spazio intorno portando con se una corona di piccoli pesciolini variopinti.

The second generation of the Nissan Quest was introduced in 1998. Like the first one it was developed together with Ford, who sold its version as the Mercury Villager. It is powered by a 3.3 litre V6 engine. Production ended in 2002 as did the collaboration with Ford on this model.
OK so here's today's mystery vehicle - or a chassis at least! It says Quest 80 on the front, but which model and any ideas what it might have become? The photo is dated 4/83 and looking at chassis lists and photos of actual vehicles I suspect this is a Quest 'C' coach chassis and given it's length would become C75YVC?
An orange/silver external memory has been lying on my desktop since the 27th of last month, as I came back home from NYC. That device is completely full of memories, archived day by day... I guess it will take months to get through the entire body of work... Both in a photographic and on a human level, NYC has deeply touched and influenced me. I feel grateful for the experience and I do my best to keep with me that special "state of mind". I will occasionally go back to those photos, edit and share them, according to the different moods and messages I will try to convey in different occasions, from now on to the next months, years. But, on the other hand. I guess it's also time to move on, unless I want to get stuck in a permanent nostalgia of past memories. Just days before flying to NYC, I made a trip to a lake nearby Rome with some photographers friends. We had a great day, a tasty bbq and lot of wine and beer ;) Nonetheless, we also explored the area and situation with our lenses and hearts... I had almost no time to go through the raw files, with the exception of a few captures I shared here the day before leaving. I edited and shared them in my album "Hiroshima mon amour", under the hypnotic influence of the French movie I was seeing during the editing phase...Now, I am back on those files and I got inspired by the sense of personal research, the quest, the eagerness to discovery that had lead me to NYC...This series is the translation into images of that feeling. I hope you may get the message I am trying to express.

Civita è una frazione del comune di Bagnoregio, in provincia di Viterbo, nel Lazio, facente parte dei borghi più belli d'Italia, famosa per essere denominata "La città che muore".
Si trova nella valle dei calanchi un'area situata tra il lago di Bolsena ad ovest e la valle del Tevere ad est, nel comune di Bagnoregio. È costituita da due valli principali: il Fossato del Rio Torbido e il Fossato del Rio Chiaro. In origine questi luoghi dovevano essere più dolci e accessibili ed erano attraversati da un'antica strada che collegava la valle del Tevere al Lago di Bolsena.
La morfologia di quest'area è stata provocata dall'erosione e dalle frane. Il territorio è costituito da due formazioni distinte per cronologia e tipo. Quella più antica è quella argillosa, di origine marina e costituisce lo strato di base, particolarmente soggetto all'erosione. Gli strati superiori sono invece formati da materiale tufaceo e lavico. La veloce erosione è dovuta all'opera dei torrenti, agli agenti atmosferici, ma anche al disboscamento.
Abitata da sole sette persone (al 2016) [senza fonte] e situata in posizione isolata, Civita è raggiungibile solo attraverso un ponte pedonale in cemento armato costruito nel 1965. Il ponte può essere percorso soltanto a piedi, ma recentemente il comune di Bagnoregio, venendo incontro alle esigenze di chi vive o lavora in questo luogo, ha emesso una circolare in cui dichiara che, in determinati orari, residenti e persone autorizzate possono attraversare il ponte a bordo di cicli e motocicli. La causa del suo isolamento è la progressiva erosione della collina e della vallata circostante, che ha dato vita alle tipiche forme dei calanchi e che continua ancora oggi, rischiando di far scomparire la frazione, per questo chiamata anche "la città che muore" o, più raramente, "il paese che muore".

questa immagine mi fa venire in mente una riflessione: due persone si incontrano, decidono di costruire qualcosa insieme, una famiglia, di fare dei figli. Poi i figli crescono e queste persone si dedicano anima e corpo all'educazione e alla crescita dei figli. Crescono ancora, fino a quando ad un certo punto dicono "Mamma, Papà, io mi trasferisco fuori", e non importa quanto fuori, basta che sia fuori, per ritrovarsi con un vuoto enorme (immagino) che può essere colmato e sopportato SOLO SE la persona che hai scelto in giovane età alla fine si rivela un/a buon/a compagno/a di vita.

Landing party from the Seabourn Quest ashore at Half Moon Island, South Shetlands.
With 450 passengers, the Quest is perhaps the biggest ship to land passengers in Antarctica. Although we are have sailed on many smaller, traditional expedition ships with 100 passengers, we chose the Quest for its modernity, its level of luxury, its acres of deck space, its stability in rough seas and its speed. Its fleet of zodiacs make this a genuine expedition cruise with only one real difference - passengers go ashore in groups of 100 so the ship remains in one place for the whole day. That was a compromise we had no difficulty in making.

This is the view from San Telmo Bridge. I was surprised to see the Azamara Quest cruise ship - I knew cruise ships docked here but didn't realise how close to the centre of the city they were. I believe this was the first cruise visit of 2025, back in March. I had to zoom in on my camera and crop out most of the cars on the bridge.

It was good fun rocking this wall in Waikiki: BOMB SQUAD KILLS THE SYSTEM. What I like bout this wall is it symbolically and literally unites my Hawaii graff crew BOMB SQUAD with my LA crew K2S. It might not mean shit to u but means a lot to me. Thanx to eribody who came out the past few days to chill and to help out. Big ups to the 808 Urban boys for helping me smash this one. It was dope to have Quest and big Def come rock pieces on the wall as well.
I'm loving the PQ stuff at the moment.
EDIT: This was an entry for the D2C Contest over at Eurobricks, but I got a little carried away and forgot the rule about no box art. I've withdrawn this as an entry in the competition. I still enjoyed putting it together though!
Marino, città delle fontane che buttano vino durante la sagra dell'uva.
Infatti una di queste è la "Fontana dei Mori" nella foto.
Questo affascinante monumento si erge maestosamente nel cuore della città, incastonato in una piazza vivace e accogliente. La fontana è una testimonianza dell'arte rinascimentale italiana, con le sue sculture di quattro Mori che sorreggono un'ampolla di vino. Le dettagliate espressioni dei Mori e i dettagli intricati della fontana mostrano la maestria degli artisti del tempo.
