Die Kolonnaden bilden zwei Viertelkreise. In der Mitte der Triumphbogen und an den östlichen Seiten zum Neuen Palais hin werden sie mit zwei Pavillons abgeschlossen.

Na de 193 776 en 193 775 was het de beurt aan 193 773 om op het toneel te verschijnen. Met de 189 910 als 2e loc passeert de "150 jaar Brenner" loc met trein 43125 uit Keulen Eifeltor naar Verona Quadrante Europa bij Wolf am Brenner de 2 Nederlanders op 9 juli 2022.
De laatste upload van de trip richting de Alpen van het afgelopen voorjaar is alweer een tijd geleden, maar er staan nog een aantal foto's klaar in het archief. Na een redelijk succesvolle dag aan het Italiaanse gedeelte van de Brennerbahn werd op donderdag 3 maart vanuit het hotel juist koers gezet in noordelijke richting. Ditmaal kwam de grensregio tussen Duitsland en Oostenrijk aan bod, omdat het treinverkeer en de locomotieven hier toch aanzienlijk anders zijn dan in Italië. De weersverwachtingen waren weer fenomenaal, en zo begon onze dag kort na zonsopkomst in Niederaudorf. DBC passeerde al snel met een trailertrein, en Rheincargo volgde daarna met een set lege containerdraagwagens. De derde goederentrein van de ochtend was er wederom een van DB Cargo, die voor de derde keer deze week een 'Das ist Grün'-Vectron in de aanbieding had.
Onder machtig mooie lichtomstandigheden passeerde DBC 193 310 in Niederaudorf, met een trailertrein op weg als trein 42135 uit Ludwigshafen BASF naar Verona Quadrante Europa. De eerste fraaie goederentrein van de ochtend was hiermee een feit.

Una doppia di E193 DB, utilizzate in questo caso in Italia da Mercitalia Rail, è ripresa nei pressi di Mezzocorona (TN) con uno shuttle intermodale proveniente da Verona Quadrante Europa e diretto a München Nord Rbf.

This photo I took last Spring, which is my favourite time of year, since we are all at the moment at the most boring part of Winter, wishing for the sunnier weather, I am too getting impatient, but one cannot with their life away. This flower I took as I was soi struck at the species, the perfect 4x4 of floral design.

Da qualche mese le Vectron DB sono diventate una presenza comune in testa agli intermodali del Brennero svolti da MIR, rendendo possibile l'utilizzo di una sola coppia di locomotive sull'intero percorso.
Nella foto vediamo una doppia trazione formata dalla E193-357 e dalla E193-708 ripresa in transito nei pressi di Avio (TN), con uno shuttle intermodale proveniente da Verona Quadrante Europa e diretto a München Nord Rbf.

This is an image of the lunar "Bay Of Rainbows" or Sinus Iridum. It is situated in the moon's northwest quadrant.
Imaged during the evening of 22nd April the feature has just emerged from the lunar terminator and the rising sun's low angle is providing great contrast within the image.
Situated on the edge of the large Mare Imbrium it is called a bay but is actually a crater whose right or Mare facing wall has been virtually obliterated. Only a few disconnected fragments remain.
The remaining mountainous wall is fairly high and you can see areas of it catching the sun strongly in the image.
There are two capes at each end of the bay. Uppermost is the Promontorium Laplace - casting a lovely shadow onto the bay -and the lowermost cape is the Promontorium Heraclides.
The whole bay is around 236km across.
The low angle of the sun is beautifully highlighting numerous wrinkle ridges or Dorsa. This adds to the analogy of the Mare Imbrium being a sea as the dorsa are like waves heading towards shore!!
Zooming in on the bay and mare areas reveals a wealth of small craters peppering the surface.

Dry Falls State Park from the rim on a windy day. Brief winter respite of sun!
Another scablands creation formed by the Lake Missoula ice dam breaking north of Sand Point, Idaho. About 18,000 years ago this became a waterfall about 5x the width of Niagara with 10 times the flow of all the current rivers in the world combined. The visitors' center sign says that it was the largest waterfall in the world. Dry Lake is in the foreground; Green Lake is seen in the distance. Scale: the bottom right quadrant white dots are geese & ducks resting in the water.
DGS 43138 Verona Quadrante Europa - Wuppertal-Langerfeld
Am Abend des 23. Juli 2020 bin ich für die letzten Sonnenminuten, bevor das Licht im Schlonz versinken sollte, noch für ein paar Nordfahrer von Karlstadt nach Thüngersheim gewechselt. Dort konnte ich dann unteranderem den Winner-KLV von Verona Q.E. nach Wuppertal-Langerfeld fotografieren. Dieser war an diesem Tag mit dem Vectron 193 777 von Lokomotion bespannt. Die beige Zebra-Lok fehlt mir noch in der Sammlung. Das interessante an dieser E-Lok ist, dass die seitlichen Zebra-Streifen und einige andere Anschriften wie z.B. die Loknummern auf beiden Lokseiten unterschiedliche Farben haben. Auf der sichtbaren Seite mehrheitlich in blau und auf der lichtabgewandten Seite in rot. Vor Ort stellte sich dann die Frage welche der beiden Lokseiten wohl besser zu den rot-blauen Wechselpritschen und LKW-Aufliegern des Winner-KLV gepasst hätte...

DGS 40563 Padborg - Verona Quadrante Europa
Am letzten Tag meines durchaus erfolgreichen Kurzurlaubes im Maintal habe ich mich am 23. Juli 2020 mal kurz für ein paar Güterzüge auf die Straßenbrücke beim Bahnhof in Karlstadt gestellt. Eigentlich wollte ich noch ein Stückchen weiter südlich nach Himmelstadt. Dort hatten die Landwirte am Vortag das Kornfeld abgemäht, so dass die Standardfotostelle wieder ohne weiteres machbar gewesen wäre. Der Abwechslung halber wollte ich von dort auch noch ein paar Bildchen mit nach Hause nehmen. Aber auf dem Weg dahin ist mir dann, bei der Vorbeifahrt an dem im Bild zusehenden Silo eingefallen, dass ich diese Fotostelle auch noch mitnehmen könnte. Also bog ich fix von der Bundesstraße nach links ab und stellte mein Auto auf dem Parkplatz unterhalb der Brücke. Kurz Zeit später tauchte dann auch schon ein EGP Vectron mit einem Altmann in meinem Blickfeld auf. Diesen versemmelte ich aber grandios. Etwa eine halbe Stunde später fuhr dann der nächste Güterzug gen Würzburg an mir vorbei. Es war der Feuertaurus von TXL mit dem KLV aus Padborg nach Verona. Ich habe mich sehr über etwas Abwechslung bzgl. der Zuglok gefreut. Mal kein Vectron. Außerdem hatte ich die Lok bisher noch nicht vor einem Güterzug in meiner Bildersammlung. Nur vor dem IC "Königsee" als die Lok für ein paar Wochen an DB Fernverkehr vermietet gewesen ist. Im Blockabstand folgten noch zwei weitere Güterzüge, die ich auch noch mitnahm bevor ich wieder zum Auto lief und meinen eigentlichen Plan durchzog. Es ging ein Stückchen weiter nach Himmelstadt aufs Feld...
Selten waren meine Ausflüge im Jahr 2021 nach Deutschland. Einreiseregeln und oftmals auch schlechtes Wetter waren unter anderem die Gründe, dass es mich mehr in den Süden zog.
Nichtsdestotrotz konnte ich Ende Oktober, einen Lomo Kombizug mit zwei Loks der Baureihe 189 aufnehmen. Ganz besonders freuen mich dabei immer die Loks 902, 903 und 912, welche ja in ihrem gelben Kleid zu den letzten ihrer Spezies gehören.
Bei Oberaudorf war der Kombizug München Riem - Verona mit 189.902 und 189.918 auf dem Weg nach Kufstein, wo es eine Schiebelok dazu gab.

Als Nachfolger des Fendt 400 Vario kam 2012 die Baureihe 500 Vario auf den Markt, die in vielerlei Hinsicht eine Vierzylinderversion der Baureihe 700 Vario war. Die Außenabmessungen des neuen Modells waren in allen Richtungen größer als beim Vorgänger, es kamen jedoch die gleichen 4-Liter-Deutz-Motoren wie beim Vorgänger zum Einsatz. Neu war allerdings die SCR-Technologie. Das Getriebe des ML 90 Vario entsprach dem des Vorgängers und verfügte über zwei Fahrbereiche.

Höhe des Örtchens Altengronau kurz vor Jossa schließt hinter einem Tunnel direkt eine altertümliche Feldwegbrücke und ein altes Lichtvorsignale. Also eine schicke Sache, aber leider nur im Hochlicht nutzbar.
So ergab es sich am 13. Mai 2025 das man in dieser Gegend verweilte und dort auch 185 663 und 185 526 mit dem DGS 43827 (Bremen-Neustadt - Verona Quadrante Europa) schlussendlich festhalten konnte.
In 2026 ist hier eine grundlegende Sanierung angesagt, mal sehen wie es anschließend aussieht.
Lokomotion had nog meer leuke treinen in de aanbieding deze middag. Nog geen 10 minuten na de passage van de 186 440 en 187 300 kwam opnieuw een KLV beladen met Ambrogio trailers van Lokomotion voorbij. De leukste loc reed mee als tweede loc, maar gelukkig was de voorste loc wel een zebra. Het had immers ook een zwarte 193 kunnen zijn...
Lokomotion 193 770 en 193 773 passeren de vier fotografen in Mühlbachl, als trein 43869 uit München Ost naar Verona Quadrante Europa. De trein komt oorspronkelijk uit het Duitse Neuss.
