An active thunderstom over Louisville CO shows off its inner glow with multiple cloud to cloud lightning strikes. An airplane flying towards the storm makes a turn away as indicated by the the line of double dots in the lower left quadrant. The orange-y glow in the sky is from the lights of Denver to the right.

Thunderstorms have been abundant thus far in eastern Colorado, even before the arrival of the t-storm season associated with the summer monsoon. Precipitation is already around 80% of the annual average with half the year to go.

Bij TX Logistik blijft het een kwestie van mazzel hebben met de tractie. Gelukkig bestickerd de vervoerder steeds meer locomotieven, waardoor de kans op een leuk koppel (de meeste treinen rijden hier immers met 2 locomotieven) steeds groter wordt. De bestickerde loccen van de eerste serie (de Alpha Trains Vectrons) zijn nog altijd mijn favoriete, persoonlijk vind ik dat de nadruk iets te veel op "groen" gevestigd is.

Op 8 juli 2022 waren de 193 556 "Licence To Rail" en 193 647 "Every Connection" met trein 43146 uit Verona Quadrante Europa onderweg naar Rostock Seehafen (uiteraard met locwissel onderweg) en konden bij Cole Isarco worden gefotografeerd.

DGS 43138 Verona Quadrante Europa - Wuppertal-Langerfeld

Am Abend des 23. Juli 2020 bin ich für die letzten Sonnenminuten, bevor das Licht im Schlonz versinken sollte, noch für ein paar Nordfahrer von Karlstadt nach Thüngersheim gewechselt. Dort konnte ich dann unteranderem den Winner-KLV von Verona Q.E. nach Wuppertal-Langerfeld fotografieren. Dieser war an diesem Tag mit dem Vectron 193 777 von Lokomotion bespannt. Die beige Zebra-Lok fehlt mir noch in der Sammlung. Das interessante an dieser E-Lok ist, dass die seitlichen Zebra-Streifen und einige andere Anschriften wie z.B. die Loknummern auf beiden Lokseiten unterschiedliche Farben haben. Auf der sichtbaren Seite mehrheitlich in blau und auf der lichtabgewandten Seite in rot. Vor Ort stellte sich dann die Frage welche der beiden Lokseiten wohl besser zu den rot-blauen Wechselpritschen und LKW-Aufliegern des Winner-KLV gepasst hätte...

Als Nachfolger des Fendt 400 Vario kam 2012 die Baureihe 500 Vario auf den Markt, die in vielerlei Hinsicht eine Vierzylinderversion der Baureihe 700 Vario war. Slechts 4 minuten na de passage van TX Logistik 193 757 met de trein uit Leipzig was het weer raak met TXL, en hoe!

De nog altijd fraaie 193 555 "Offroad" trok de volbeladen trein 43127 naar Verona Quadrante Europa langs de fotograaf bij Volargne, die op deze manier prachtig de vakantie af kon sluiten. Natuurlijk had ik de treinen liever op de in mijn ogen fraaiere stek bij Dolcè gefotografeerd, maar daar waren ze simpelweg te vroeg voor.

This is a Brush built class M7 number 805. She was built at the Loughborough works in 1981 she is fitted with a GM 8-645 E V 8 two stroke power unit and rated at 997hp. From this angle she looks very much like a class 20 running bonnet first. At the other end she has a small nose with great visibility from the cab. She is approaching Nagollagama in Sri Lanka working the 3rd class only 1050 from Maho Junction to Kurungala.
