Nuit is currently our oldest rescue kitty. (She's in the foreground,
with Pyrrha curled up behind her) She and her littermates were dumped in
1999 on the front porch of a pet store that didn't sell cats. Her odd
mix of behavior, temperament, and instincts make us suspect her parents
were wild and/or part bobcat. She is tiny and was possibly the runt of
the litter. We adopted her for a minimal fee at the store (now out of
business), to reimburse their expenses of worming and feeding the
kittens. She immediately decided she belonged to my son Corey; he didn't
get any say in the matter. She's "not all there" but our big (spayed)
tom Gandalf does his best to keep her in check! She is a cutie and she
does have her sweet moments. She seemed lonely and lost after my beloved
Luna died, which was one of the reasons I went ahead and adopted Gandalf
and Pyrrha.
