This was supposed to be a 3-D shot using the basic setup deviised for HDR shots.
As I expected, the separation between the lenses needs to be increased by a factor including the crop ratio in addition to the focal length for propper paralax.
Since this shot has barely enough paralx for a 3-D effect and looked pretty good with a 16x9 crop; I processed it as a normal shot.
I need to increase the camera separation before proceeding with more 3-D shots.
The 3-D work has shown me that the paralax is indeed less than expected; but may still be enough to complicate HDR shots.
I have also learned more about exposures from my HDR experiments to convice me to resume the thurough exposure analisys that I used to think was beyond the point of deminishing returns. After completeing work on precisely how lens focal length and distance effect exposure; I will resume my experiments with HDR and 3-D with fireworks.

Over the years, Seaham Harbour has consistently produced one of the best firework displays around and best of all, it's free!
There were easily a good few thousand people watching this year's display.

Doesn’t it look like fireworks?
Thalictrum is a tall, willowy perennial that produces an abundance of fluffy mauve flowers on glistening black stems during the height of summer.
Meadow Rue is perfect for filling gaps in woodland gardens and shaded borders, particularly as the elegant foliage provides an ideal backdrop for smaller perennials.
The foliage of Thalictrum can be added to summer bouquets for a delicate touch.
Unbelievable, but a member of Ranunculaceae, the buttercup family, its common name is Chinese Meadow Rue.
Gorgeous leafage and pretty flowers, it loves moist but well drained soils.
It has lavender-purple flowers, each small flower is held high and is made up of tiny strands, like downy thistles, giving the plant a hazy, fluffy effect.
The foliage is scalloped and lacy looking.
In my garden, it is next to my Peonies.
So, more flowers from my garden...
Have a lovely day and thank you for your visit, M, (*_*)

The wide angle lens not only captured the helical paths of the pyrotechnic bits; but it shows a surprising amount of spark detail. This enabled me to take a wide angle type 1 photo and crop it to look like a normal angle type 2. This is also one of a few recent shots where I have suppressed most of the smoke rather than enhanced it.
Standing with my finger on the shutter trigger this morning, waiting for a strike,I managed to get a bonus. Not quite quick enough to grab the brightest part of the strike itself I instead caught the afterglow and what looks to me like an exploding transformer, just down from the strike.I am sure this is a unique shot because I have never seen this before.

Here's a bit of a change of pace from recent uploads.
Prior to the grand finale of fireworks at Oshkosh's EAA Airventure, we were treated to some spectacular night aerobatics complemented by aircraft-mounted pyrotechnics. Here's a handheld long exposure that I was particularly proud of.
A retouched shot off the original i uploaded 4 months ago. This shot is of the Pyrotechnics display rigged under the sand to simulate a bomb going off at Sunderland air show.
I decided to have a go at editing the shot so it was better then the orginal, having only just got my editing software working.
This is the orginal. www.flickr.com/photos/55932401@N04/7616709026/
First time out with the camera in a while and a trip to Westward Ho!
I can't resist fireworks and these were for a charity event at the Pier House.
A slightly damp evening but the forecast heavy rain didn't materialise.
