Pushups, situps and a two-mile run only comprised a small percentage of the day’s activities for roughly 300 cadets competing Oct. 20 for selection into a Military Individual Advanced Development program. Competitive MIADS, like the Combat Diver Qualification Course, Sapper Leader Course and Special Forces Assessment and Selection, required cadets to prove they among the best of the best and can successfully complete some of the Army’s toughest training programs.
