The Birthday Boy and his Lady
Last Friday evening. They were cute. I told them so. They approved.
This was an awfully dim negative.
This roll was an experiment, shooting with the Yashica-D TLR with Kentmere Pan 400 at 1600 then pushing the development two stops. The exposure worked very well, but the Yashica-D is beastly difficult to focus in dim light. I like the photographs well enough, but I don't think I will try this combination again.

Caleb and Mary at Dublin Corners Farm Brewery a couple weeks ago. I'll be back there this evening.
This was a test roll. ASA 400 just isn't fast enough for indoor photography of moving subjects. The HP5+ film box had instructions for developing it at ASA 1600, so I decided to give it a try. I was pleased with the results. It is fussy about lighting, but when the lighting is right it works beautifully.
This one could have used a bit longer exposure, but I love it as it is.

Stopped at a light; this was a grab your camera and snap a shot fast through the windshield scenario.
{film} Tomasz made this bust of Mikaila, another jeweler whose space he shares. I love all the details in her hair. Mikaila and I are going to work together next week and I'm so excited to see and photograph her at work.
Just a bit tipsy
The leprechaun from the Saint Patty's Day weekend, feeling somewhat deflated.

Walking around Furano ski resort one morning, enjoying the contrast with the snow and other objects. Kodak Tri-X pushed two stops. Pentax 645N. Furano, Japan.
"If you come in here with a ponytail like that, I must take a photograph of you. May I?"
(Had she said, "No", by the way, I would have smiled, put the camera down, and said, "That's perfectly fine. Thank you for saying so." It's why I get away with this nonsense.)

I love this house in Fitzroy North, since it was completed last year I think I have taken over 30 photos of it in different light and from different perspectives.
Always fun going to the baseball in Korea. I went to a Lotte Giants game in Busan in September, they got thrashed but it was still entertaining.
Lomography 800 color film, pushed three stops. Pentax 645N.
One of my mates, in Furano earlier this year. I met him through my friend I started work with, and we have enjoyed sharing a few holidays together. Fuji 160NS pushed two stops. Pentax 645N.
Hello all, during these COVID times and home isolation, I am looking at things to keep me busy and constructive. I love Flickr, and I am glad SmugMug are re-invigorating. The days of frequent and robust discussions in groups are gone I think, and that is not a Flickr issue, but a consequence of mobile devices and people not using a laptop / desktop as their main computing device. However, the photo groups are still active with photo contributions, and there are still plenty of people using Flickr.
Everyday while we in Australia are forced to isolate and work from home, I will be sharing a photo from someone on Flickr to my friends and family via my social media accounts. I don't have a lot of friends so I don't expect anyone's view / fave counts to skyrocket, but this activity is forcing me to go down the Flickr rabbit hole, something I use to do and loved doing. By doing this activity I hope to get a few more people to check out photogs on Flickr, and also to discover more amazing work that I can follow and be inspired by. I have met so many great people through Flickr, and I hope that continues.
