Apollo Guidance Computer Display and Keyboard Assembly flown on Apollo 12
From Wikipedia:
The user interface unit was called the DSKY[4] (display/keyboard); an array of numerals and a calculator-style keyboard. Commands were entered numerically, as two-digit "prog", "verb", and "noun" numbers. The numerals were green high-voltage electroluminescent displays arranged in an array of seven segments per numeral to display numbers. The segments were driven by electromechanical relays, which limited the display update rate (Block II used faster SCRs – silicon controlled rectifiers). Three 5-digit numbers could also be displayed in octal or decimal. Input was by pushbuttons. This "calculator-style" interface¹ was the first of its kind, the prototype for all similar digital control panel interfaces.
The command module (CM) had two DSKYs; one located on the main instrument panel and another located in the lower equipment bay near a sextant used for aligning the inertial guidance platform. Both DSKYs were driven by the same AGC. The lunar module (LM) had a single DSKY for its AGC.
Among drag racing’s personalities, few were as well-known as “Dandy Dick” Landy, and this Dodge was one that helped put the California racer on the map. Considered by some to be the first “funny car” due to its wheelbase changes, this 1964 lightweight 426 Hemi Dodge 330 was delivered to Landy in early June 1964 and then won A/MP class honors at the “Hot Rod” magazine race soon afterward, the first big win for the Hemi package. After racing at the NHRA Nationals, Landy converted the wheelbase and moved the front wheels up 6 inches and the rear axle up 8 inches. This conversion was shown as feature stories in several magazines. Clocked at a 147 MPH best that year, the car was eventually rediscovered by Hemi collector Pete Haldiman, who owned it from the late 1970s until it was added to Todd Werner’s collection in 2015. Haldiman did the restoration over a period of years, leaving the changes Landy had made intact. Under the aluminum hood is an A864 Race Hemi package with correct K-code iron heads, aluminum cross-ram, dual Holley 770 CFM carburetors and Doug’s Headers. It is backed by a pushbutton-operated A727 TorqueFlite transmission and 8.75 differential. The body features factory aluminum and steel components modified by Landy and painted in his trademark Mercedes silver, with his extra pair of tail lights modification left intact as well. Inside this car, the original Landy interior features bright red lightweight Super Stock Hemi upholstery, an 8,000 RPM tachometer, pushbutton shifter, heater/radio-delete plate and upgraded gauges. Extreme care was taken to hand-paint correctly positioned lettering to the body, which retains its outrageous overall appearance that made the car very popular during its heyday. While the 1965 models have often been credited with the first use of the “funny car” title, this 1964 Dodge was the forerunner to that ideal, and to this day it remains a singular icon of the exploding evolution of drag racing in the 1960s.
On a four-lane road, a cyclist pulls into a left-turn-only lane and waits for a green arrow. The signal fails to detect the bicycle.
In a state without a "dead red" law, how may the cyclist legally escape this location?
Walk across two lanes of traffic, against the "DON'T WALK" signal, to get to the pushbutton on the sidewalk? Illegal, and dangerous.
Ride straight through the intersection, changing lanes into the left through lane while crossing the intersection? Illegal, and dangerous.
Make a U-turn over the double yellow line and ride away from the intersection? Possibly legal, depending on the intersection striping, but it puts you in front of traffic getting back up to speed after clearing the intersection.
Are any of those really safer than proceeding to make a left turn when there's a gap in oncoming traffic?

ABSTRACT
Made in Italy is an aggregative concept that hardly can be described in few words. At the same time, it contains aesthetics qualities, historical heritages and intrinsical characteristics that don’t seem to follow a single rational principle. In fact, Made in Italy merges together common perceptions, stereotypes, achievements, styles and opinions that often are more related to self cultural background instead of one defined subject.
As a consequence, the Made in Italy concept belongs to the collective imagery sphere. It consists in an abstract representation concerning a multitude and its idea about a country and its reputation in terms of production, past glories, national skills and characteristics. Being abstract, such this concept can be ideally explained in an emotional way. Images, sounds, flavours and smells are the elements that can converge in order to represent it.
Therefore, Made in Italy can be represented using the rethoric figure of the synecdoche which consists in using a term denoting a part of somethingto refer to the whole thing.
Dinamo|complesso plastico looks at Made in Italy from this point of view and delivers a representation of the concept complexity by offering an overview on its most recognizable elements. Being the author Italian, the project aims at proposing a personal interpretation of Made in Italy by redesigning a famous Futurist installation and improving its interactive qualities in order to both establish human-to-machine relations and human-to-human ones.

New Eurorack and Frac Rack joystick module from Flight of Harmony, called Choices. This joystick lets you decide which way to mount it, with the joystick at the top or at the bottom of the module. It also features convenient manual pushbuttons which work with the gate and trigger outputs. We should have stock of the Eurorack version by Thursday, April 30th so they will go on sale that day.
