Schiffelly Puppets presented their most recent production, The Little Mermaid, at the Albert Lea Public Library. After an introduction and song with their signature dog puppet, the show began in earnest. The human narrator is asked to give a message in a bottle to the Little Mermaid. Unfortunately, it's stolen by Bertha, the bully mermaid. Numerous other characters appear and tell their stories of how Bertha has bullied them. When Bertha shows up again, everyone confronts her on her bullying behavior and she changes her ways, handing over the bottle. The message in the bottle is finally revealed to read "The End."

The diorama was a collaboration between myself, Penelope Bartlow and Caroline Wessel and based on Jason Lehane's vision.
